14 Weeks Out
During the week is fine but this was the first weekend since I can remember that I have not drank any alcohol whatsoever. I stuck to my diet and feel pretty damn good. A couple things that I thought about that might make it harder to keep to my diet are that I am moving to a job site in the next month and a lot of the time my bosses like to go out to lunch; I don’t want to keep telling them "no I don’t want to go" so I have to, at some point, tell them. I don’t know anyone else in the company who does this sort of thing, which makes it uneasy to inform them of my new "fitness program" so I’m just gonna go ahead and throw it at’em. The other is that my girlfriend’s parents own a winery and she’s been really busy with work and school so I go and visit her at work. It’s a little challenging to pass up a glass of wine here and there. I think "its only a glass, whats the harm?" But I sustain and I am clean as a whistle, not a drip. One thing that I love, is waking up on the weekend sober as can be. I certainly do not miss the hungover headaches and daytmime naps followed by a greasy, fatty, recovery meal so close to bedtime. I also feel that I have more energy to get more of the necessary things done that I need to. I am also saving money for more important things that I would need or want to buy. The pros definitely out-weigh the cons with this new hobbie of mine.

alcohol may block protein absorbtion
alcohol is extra calories
alcohol is toxins your body has to get rid of before doing other work
alcohol is doubly wasteful in taking your $ and your time!
I’m an alcoholic, and I rarely drink anything at all.
