Blog Entry

always making progress. in the right direction? what is the right direction? body weight is down, strenghth is back up. i was on a real good track until i’ve done a week long binge on protein bars. yes, there are much worse things to binge on than protein bars but, it hS restricted me from my ultimate goal of losing the lower abdominal body fat and and love handles. i have never been one for complexes but, my hips are wide and pointy and they put the fat that would not be noticed on others on display on my body! oh well, i just have to lose it, get it ripped and go from there. that is it. no major cuts. no major strenghth train (for now) just slow  and steady on the chisle, muscle build and general health…

A large number of protein bars out there are full of some pretty bad ingredients and contrary to what they (their manufacturers) want us to believe they can add to the problem rather than being part of the solution. My wife has put together (after much experimentation) her own recipe for homemade protein bars that we have found work great for our metabolism and body types.
If you are interested I would be more than happy to send you the recipe and if not no big deal, as I just wanted to mention the negative side of the protein bar myth,
