this has to have been one of the worst leg workouts yet..i had NO energy and just did my best to keep form-today was plyo day with triceps and abs and ending with a HIIT and damnit i was dragging my tail! to think i have 2 more leg days next week….come on sept 13th hurry up and get here! i know my energy levels are down, but come on, i had to decrease my sprint speed bc it felt like i was moving in molasis! augh, i dont remeber feeling this way last yr but then again i havent been on stage in over a year and this is the hardest i have been working to be the best SO that might have something to do with it…man, as excited as i a, to compete again, i really need some motivation to keep me going for this next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So i tried on my suit last night and i guess i must have dropped more weight or inches or something! it felt good to not have any excess anything hanging out~well i will always have a booty on me, but even that part of me is shrinking and getting firmer and rounder, not so flabby anyore! i am just counting the days down now and hoping my body continues to improve and i hope i can hit my peak week just right…it starts on monday! i am decorating my own suit and i cant wait until it is all done and evrything comes together the way i am envisioning it..
my energy levels are dropping in the weight room-not able to go heavy as i could last week or the week before-which is OK and expected at this point-i only have 6 more days of working out in the gym, then planning to take thursday to do a mild carb deplete, friday to a mild carb up and saterday to show off all my hard work!!!! oh yeah and then to pig out for a day on whatever my body is craving!!!!!! last year was so much easier on me nutrition wise bc i was working full time and had my meals pre-made and ready-now that i am home with the kids, i am surrounded by all of thier snacks-and most of them are healthy but i still cant have them-things like teddy grahms and and those 100calorie snack wheat thins/chips or cookies, string cheeze and lean deli meat,PB&J-i make these really healthy oatmeal chocolate chip cookies made w whole wheat flour, no butter but use yogurt, use splenda and applesauce,not sugar etc etc etc-just a better cookie that my babies will eat-but anyways,the good thing is that my kids love ricecakes and peanutbutter for snacks, and protien bars, so that helps some, but i still make my family "normal" dinners while i have my turkey and veggies…ahhhh well 9 more days, i can make it!!!
i just still hope i can get my abs to pop on stage and win overall!!!!!!!!!

wow, these past 2 wks have been crazy-both my kids came down with the chicken pox, my son had to miss his first day of preschool, in the process of purchasing a house, which closing date is the day after my show or 1 wk later, dont know yet-LOTS to do in so little time and i am trying so hard to be eveyone and everything while trying to diet down for this show-i am just a bout wore out, physically and mentally! i am so ready to eat white carbs again-it is killing me fixing all these great dinners and lunches for my family-last night i made chicken pasta with garlic cheese bread…and man oh man is that crust from my kids PB&J sandwich look ever so good! but i have been a good girl, the only bad thing i have eaten so far has been today (of all times to cheat a little)– and i feel so guilty!!!!-anyone who has never done a show before would think nothing of doing this, but i licked the spoon to the batter of banana muffins i made for the babies this moring and i did have a spoonfull of reduced fat peanutbutter after my workout, oh and i hade a diet coke bc i really needed the energy!!!! whew, OK thats my guilty confession!!
BUT all that aside i really think i will do well at this show, my legs and booty are looking soooo much better! i am no longer worried about that little posing suit! well, kindof but that will always be a fear of mine i think-my main concern right now is my belly and how to get my abs to pop out when i am on stage! anyone have any advice on that??? i have tried blowing air out and standing taller at the same time, but that just makes my ribs stick out! ive tried bringing my hips forward and not sitting up so staright but that just looks dorky and so not elegant for a figure show! i DO have my abs now, 8 pack and all but only when i flex them!! (6pack without flexing) but how do i get them to pop out when i just stand there in heels and keeping every muscle in my body tight??? i know a lot of having cut abs for a show is nutrition and low body fat and water manipulaution, which i have a pretty strong grasp of and do plan to manipulate water for show time, BUT how do i show what i have off??
augh, 11 days and counting, 4 more leg workouts, 4 more HIITS, 8 days of workouts left, i have my nutrition and workout plan all written out for these last days–i better get an over all title for this, or at least 1rst in class….yup the countdown has begun!

I did my 2nd of 3 HIIT days for this week today –3 weeks and 3 days till show day-i am starting to feel the effects of my superstrict nutrition plan-i have to time my meals just right so i have energy for a workout and energy to play with my kids…my workouts are getting pretty intense,from here until 3wks from today i am doing HIIT 3x a week-from 8 weeks out i was doing 1x a week, at 6 wks out i was doing 2x a week HIIT and at 4 wks out i started 3x a week…my body is finally starting to change how i want it, i still have a little left on my booty to work on, and just have to lean out just a little bit more in my midsection for my body to be contest worthy..my legs are coming along good, i am finally getting a strong quad/ham seperation line and a teardrop is just starting to pop out every now and then-really stands out when i practice posing in heels-i would still like to lose another inch in my belly and butt and drop about 3-4lbs, but i know realistically, i can probably only drop about 2lbs (water weight of course, right before show) and MAYBE .5inch? hopefully these HIITS will pay off for me–i just have to get super LEAN!! i about killed myself on the treadmill trying to make each sprint faster than the last-i started off w my first sprint @ 9.0 and eneded with a 10.6..soooo 9 more times to hit that HIIT day before contest day, just hope my energy levels stay where they need to be at and i can come in this show looking the best ever!!!!
