I have been at this for a while, and sometimes i feel as if i am on a slippery slope. i drop, something happens, i gain, i eat clean for a while, knowing something should be happening, nothing happens. i am following the mhp challenge on the MD site, in looking at how the whole thing is put together, they are on a ketogenic diet, the workouts are simple, so what is the catch. looking at it, it appears to me, that the addition of 10 minutes each week for most when it comes to cardio is the key. Some say that if your diet is together, you don’t need cardio, some say you do. i think i am an "i do" person. so my plan is to beef up the cardio. I do it in the morning, but i think my evenings will have to be taken up with some more cardio. i need to switch it up though as i get bored on the treadmill so i am planning on riding my pedal bike to school. I used to do it before, but i just need to work out how i am going to pull it off, getting there getting showered rainy days etc. So we’ll see, but i am thinking, that cardio is for me. i need to clear my head though, cause i tend to get a bit stressed when nothing happens. so i am going to do it. encouragement needed- thanks- feel free to leave a comment

why don’t these chicken breasts taste like that cake i had last week for christmas?
why do some walk into the gym and compete after 5 months of training, and others- (myself) have to buss up shot to get there?
why am i not trusting the supplement company ads? grow 15 lbs lean muscle in 15 days!! lose 30 lbs of fat in a week “I won Mr. Olymold classic by using supplement wxy” cheesh
(why am i still eating these chicken breasts? i struggle- i do not like green eggs and ham…whups, chicken breasts)
why is it that some days when you hit the weights it feels as if gravity is a bit higher?
why is it that it irritates me when people don’t rack their plates after they have finished a set?
grrrrrrrrr….
why is it that the ones who flex in front of the mirror ALL OF THE TIME, give us all a bad name?
why is it that i still havent finished my chicken breasts? i only have 5 pieces left- come on bro!!
why is it that even though the gym burns, it hurts sometimes, you feel like you are growing to throw up sometimes, but we still keep at it, day after day?
why is it that when i do cardio outside 5 in the morning it is soooo fresh and lovely outside- i love it!!!
why is it that music makes a good workout even better? PUMP UP THE VOLUME!!!!
why is it that that guy always gets out of the shower and gets water ALL OVER THE FLOOR in the changing room? so when i come in, water is everywhere!!??
why is it that some don’t understand that the gym is about growing, it is about form, not about moving the weight two inches, thinking that you are impressive!! GET DOWN WHEN YOU SQUAT!!!! MOVE YOUR ARM WHEN YOU CURL!!!!!!

Today I am back on the ball. Last week, last week was rather crazy, so i figured i’d go easy. But this morning, i hopped on the bike and did some cardio, then later on i went to the gym and did chest. yup yup, back on track. I have been analyzing my workouts and I think that i need to add more cardio next year. so this is my new plan, be more active and see what happens with my body. as for now, allis well- peace

Well, today I did chest and back. Something is going on with me, as I pushed the weight well, but was kinda out of breath afterwards, and I wasn’t even going all out. But I managed to get through the workout and all is well. I got some new pedals for my spinning bike because one doesn’t seem like it is going to be around for much longer, so I am going to change that in a second, and spin away.
Let me say season’s greetings to all who may look at this blog- enjoy yourself, I plan on getting off the meal plan tomorrow, you only live once, so I am going to enjoy the wonderful food. mmmmmmmm

Yesterday I went to a breakfast/brunch/lunch. There waws plenty left over, so the left overs were being divied up. So there were some really great tasting and looking desserts left over. No one wanted them, so, not wanting food to go to waste, I volunteered to take them to take to my students. We had been doing a project, and they have been working EXTREMELY well, so I thought I’d treat them. Well, lubch time comes along….I sit here and eat my wonderfully good chicken breasts….mmmmm boy do i love chicken breasts, especially when I have some really great desserts next to me, calling my name……
So i trudge on, I managed to get through most of my breasts, thinking…"Why can’t my chicken breasts taste or even be half as appetizing as these wonderfully delicious desserts next to me. Did i mention that they were homemade? WOOOOOOOW So I make it through my chicken…by the way, I am not a fan of chicken, I do not like it, and am only eating it for it’s protein value. blech….
So I make it past lunch, fighting the urge to dive into the bag and devour at least one…or even just a half of one? a quarter? a bite? So school goes on, as it does…and I make it to the last period of the day. So, I go the class tell them they have been working so well, blah blah blah, and then give them away…only thing, I now have 3 left!!!! AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I thought that that would have freed me up, eleviating the pressure. So, I look at them, the smell, the scent just slowly and rather sexily, wafts from the bag, saunters up my neck, as smooth ans sliky as ever, then those wonderful scents just carressed my face, and began to seduce me, ever so slowly, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra could even be heard crooning in the background……HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just in the nick of time, three other students walk in and they have been pretty good, so I gave them those delectible delights………and now i sit here, with my tilapia…..dreaming on……thinking of times that never were…..

I have had a really good week this week. It started out a bit late, as i was traveling on Sunday and that threw me off, but I jumped right in on monday, without skipping a beat. The cardio went well, the eating went well, rest, water, everything was together. So, looking back, I can truly say that this has been a great week. Now the weekend. Saturdays used to be my day to ease off a bit, not eat every 3 hours and all that type of stuff, but tomorrow i think i’ll keep trucking on. Sometimes it is good to break the cycle for a bit, not have to look at the clock to see if you have to eat, i find it gives my head a break, but i’ll go on tomorrow. So to everyone, have a great weekend!!
