ok, so after my week off, i have to admit, i don’t bounce back like i did back in the day…lol age has kicked in. lol but last week was back to the grind week with my new plan. so i was sore, a bit out of breath, felt like stopping a few times, but i survived!! so here i am, on week number two, ready to continue the plan. i added the eca stack today, so that should help, and i am going to keep everyone posted on my progress. i took a few pics, but i see that you have to have more than one set in order for them to be seen, so soon come…
went for my run this morning, whew…one week off, don’t do it if you are over 30!! lol it was better than last week, but still i have to get back to how i felt before i stopped, and i will, so i am not sweating it. but early in my run i got a SERIOUS cramp in my foot! ouch, right under the ball of my right foot, felt like i sprained it or something. i tried to run, but the pressure killed me, so i walked on a bit until i found a rock where i put my foot on and stretched it out, and a few moments later, i was back into action, feeling great! there was a sandcastle competition on the beach this week, and the entries were awesome, i think i am going to go back and take some pics cause they were like that!
but have a great holiday tomorrow, back to school on tuesday..so one more day for me!

Today, here in Bermuda, there was an implosion of an old hotel that had been standing around vacant for many, many years. There were a lot of boats in the water to witness this historical event, I was there with my family and friends in a boat, and have never seen so many boats on the water at the same time in one area. Well, at 10:20, this is what happened:

then….

and finally…

after it was done, there was a big cloud of dust, but when the dust disapated, all that was left was a big, gigantic hole, it was truly amazing!

this got me to thinking about the journey that many are taking, that spot is about to go through a 7 year transformation. Many of us are seeking to make a change, not just any change, but in many cases, a drastic change. Well, be encouraged, it is time to start anew, you can do it!! Take it all one day at a time, one rep after the other, you can do it!! We can do it!!! MORE FIRE!!!!! NEVER GIVE UP!!!

this is the last week of my summer vacation….hmmmmm….went walking this morning, glad that we didn’t really push it that hard as i am not operating at 100% due to my time off last week. but it was a good walk. this is the last full week off that i have. ext week it is back to school. i must say that i am ready to go back, well, yes and no, i have to admit that this wasn’t the best summer that i have had, it was actually a crappy one, but i am ready for school. i have been reading up on differentiated instruction, a way to ensure that all needs in the class are met, so i am eager to try that with more focus. i have been doing it and not knowing that it had a lable, but will try it more this year. i am off, have a great day everyone- peace and love!!!

ok, so i am back after taking a week off. well, i trained while i was in miami at the golds gym, but i didn’t really do that much while i was travelling. it was hard, but i gave my body a break, so no worries. so today it is back to the grind, i am armed with a new plan, and am looking forward to putting the plan into action. today was day 1. so i ran, it wasn’t the same, took a little longer, but i’ll be back in no time. so tomorrow, morning run with my diva crew again, and gym in the afternoon.
last night was the bodybuilding show here. there were three men, all in different categories, so the mens was a little bit boring. the ladies were kinda the same, there was one bodybuilding female, and basically, overall. i think the bodybuilding federation here does little to promote the sport. infact, i wouldn’t even say does little, their efforts are non existent!!! they do NOTHING to promote the sport. Tanji Johnson was here to do the guest spot, and did a boot camp at a gym, only four people showed up to the thing, because NO ONE KNEW ABOUT IT!!!!! grrrrrr…… it gets me so mad, man.
so what am i going to do about it? it makes no sense to sit here and get upset, so i am going to throw my name in the mix, i am going to enter the federation and make a difference, wish me all the best- i’ll keep you posted. peace, love and more fire!!!

so i went to the europa this weekend, it was a good show, could have been organized a bit better. the nights and days were looooooooooooong, whew!! but i enjoyed myself. i think that the bodybuilding competition needs to change it’s format, but i will get on that in a later post. i got to meet, Susan, she did well in her group, and Dawn Melanie- recognized her as she said by her cane. lol so it is nice to know that the people on the other side of the profiles are really people, lol ha ah ah you lot really do exist, and are really really cool, cooler in person than online. So to Susan, and Dawn, nice meeting you, i had a great weekend- peace and love to all-never give up!
more fire!!
oh yeah, now i am in miami, and who is with me? Ts Fay, lol now, get your minds out of the gutter, i ain’t like that lol ha ha ha ts meaning TROPICAL STORM Fay. lol ha ha ha yes, a lot of miami has shut down, so i thought i’d check my email and stuff. so now i’m gone- peace and love

ok, so you know that i walk with the divas and another guy every morning. well today here’s what went down:
someone in the group decided to take an alternate route, so we walked on it. things were going well until sharon, says:"hey look at the little kitten over there!" well, someone said "thats not a cat, that is a puppy1" the next thing we knew, the mother dog, which happened to be a pitbull, came dashing out, growling and barking……this is when all hell broke loose…
yours truly stood his ground, sharon grabbed on to my arm screaming, out of the corner of my eye though, i spot rydell, the other male member running away, actually, he was running to be on the other side of the ladies…..well what?!?!?!?! lol he took off and was screaming like, like (insert something that screams a lot here) . the other ladies, froze, but i was ready for action. In fact, the strange thing was that i was thinking that the dog was on a chain, so i was waiting for the chain to catch and for the dog to be yucked back- but when she kept coming, it was so surreal, in-fact the whole episode only took a few seconds, but seemed like an eternity, had a kinda matrix type slow motion thing going on.
Sharon admitted to jelly legs, deb, admitted to freezing, tan said that she was frozen, V screamed, but that rydell claimed that he stood his ground and shouted at the dog……HA!!! not this morning, lol the dude took off!!!lol
so we laughed and laughed after wards, in fact i am still chuckling as i type this. lol have a good day everyone- enjoy today!!
peace and love- more fire!!

today is one of those deep thought entries. i have a friend who has been dating a guy for somewhere close to 12 years. well on 8-8-08, they got married. a little while before that, he was complaining that things weren’t feeling quite right. well, two weeks ago, they go to the dr, and he says "oh nothing to worry about, just some fluid on the lungs…" went to another for a second opinion…" hmmm, this is not usual, but no worries…." well, he didn’t feel comfortable with the prognosis, so they decided to go to john’s hopkins in baltimore to get it all checked out. well, after running the tests, they find out that he has 6 months to live. he has lung caner and it is gone too far to do anything to control of stop it….. we had a loooooong talk the day before she was to get married, nothing but tears for the whole conversation. i feel for her, she is going through sooo much. they left this past saturday to go back to johns hopkins for more things.
so this got me thinking…"what would i do, if i knew i had 6 months to live?" hmmmm…. not an easy one to answer. would i continue to teach, and not let my life skip a beat? would i travel the world, and see all the exotic things it has to offer? what would i do? but you know what i concluded? i have to enjoy today while i can, i have to get the most out of my days, while i can. i must encourage others along this path, this journey called life.
we only have today, tomorrow really isn’t promised. to all who peruse my blog, know that you are appreciated!! to all who may feel like life is bad, know that it could be worse, know that there are others willing and wishing they could be in your shoes! but most of all, know that whatever happens, God is on your side. most of the time in life, a setback is a set up for a comeback….know that you must smile when you may feel like frowning. you must press on if you feel like giving up, if you do quit, no worries, get back up and do your thing again. most of all, like nike said- just do it!! just do what? just do whatever it is that has to be done!!
enjoy today, live life to the fullest while you can.
more fire!!
never give up!!
