my trainer and i now train together, so i guess that doesn’t make him my trainer anymore huh? lol but it is a good push, and we push each other, hitting hard, and hittin it good, why? cause we have to, it’s what we do!! lol i’m out-peace

My student asked me something the other day. I was showing them their grades and was showing how one missed assignment can cause a big drop in their grade. I then proceeded to show them how it is easy to lower your grade, but you have to work twice as hard to bring it up again. crazy huh? Well, I was thinking, the gym is like that also. You work hard to gain and all, looking good, miss something, or do something wrong and what? You go back….WHY IS IT THAT ???? lol Not only do you go back, you have to work TWICE AS HARD to get back to where you were….crazy.

 I chilled out last week due to my back and so this week is back to biz week. So tell me after missing only one week, doing squats felt so strange, i felt RUSTY!!!!! I am also noticing that as i accumulate years, my body doesn’t bounce back like beofre also. lol

 

but the great pondering of life…WHY IS THAT????

I was supposed to go walking this morning, but for some reason i was stupid tired. Like i was drugged or something. I called one of the ladies that I go walking with and she was feeling the same, so I didn’t go. Will be on it tomorrow though. I have two back to back meetings this afternoon- MARATHON MEETING MONDAY i call it, so I slipped out and got my workout on just now. Back and shoulders. It was a good one and I did some cardio, but i was yawning and yawning, even now as I type this i am yawning. wow, I just want to lay down and take a nap. I have a class about to enter, so I guess I’ll dream on…lol all the pun intended! peace out- de bell just rang.

Different kinda week….

Well, my back was actin up in the earlier part of the week, so this has messed me up a bit. I thought I’d take the week a bit easier, don’t want to ignite anything u know? But it is interesting, I think I feel a difference in my body…but do I , or is it in my head? The crazy thing about the gym is that much of it is in your head, miss a few days at the gym and you think you feel sluggish or fat or something, lol it’s not easy i tell ya…but we love it. peace out

I was looking forward to the N.Y. pro show this weekend. the competitor that I was rooting for won. Kai Greene. Why root for him? To me, he is a "normal" guy.He doesn’t have any big fancy sponsers, no bigtime house or car (yet) like most bbuilders he is humble, but what I admire about him is the fact that he wasn’t placing where he is now a few years ago, but he didn’t give up. I like that. He kept on trucking and actually redefined himself. Congrats goes out to Kai-WELL DONE!! here is some footage:

The other person I was roting for was Joel Stubbs, from the Bahamas. Really cool guy, has the biggest flippin’ back you have ever seen! He didn’t place too well, but my hat still goes off to him….

oh no!!!!

My operation eradication has hit a bump in the road!!! Saturday i was standing up, talking, when my upper right back started to hurt, not on the muscular level, but deeper.

Ouch, well it got more intense as the day went on, yesterday, even more, and last night i had a hard time sleeping. So I figure that there is a picnched nerve or something, this is not cool. Today would have been my back day, but I am going to for go the workout today as I don’t want to make any thing get even worse, you know? I’ll try to do cardio, but no crunches or anything like that right now.

So today I called around to try and see a chiropracter, one is not taking any new patients, another is booked up until the end of the month, and the others can’t see me until Friday-ouch, this thing is a bother, I can’t wait that long. So I found someone who can see me tomorrow, scary thing is that everyone else was booked, so now I am wondering, was he free because he is not that good? Whoa…. I guess I’ll find out tomorrow huh? So I’ll keep you lot informed on the progress k? PEace and ouch for now….

happy mother’s day!

Let me start this post by wishing all who fall under this category a happy mother’s day. Enjoy it. I have changed my supplementation program lately. Well, i have changed a few things in the gym. For starters, I am going to be changing my workouts every 4 weeks. A new style of training every 4 weeks, i think i did the same thing for too long, so switchin it up. Also I have stopped using the Gaspari products, don’t get me wrong, I still think that his stuff is the best, I am just taking a break from them. At night i am taking MHP’s Cyclin Gf, i like it, but back to basics. I am still dropping body fat, so this is good news, just thought i’d send an update. Peace and love to all-NEVER GIVE UP!!!

mmmm-this salmon was good, any recipies? feel free to share

I am trying out the ketogenic style of eating, and so far, I am seeing results and loving it. The tilapia was getting kinda boring, so eating salmon is a welcomed change. mmmmmm  Which brings me to this post….the salmon that I just ate was GOOD!!!!!!! mmmm, I am trying new seasons and methods, this one was with a white cooking wine and some other seasonings….mmmmmmm.. Was tather good. Just wanted to share that. Hope that all are doing well, if you have a way of preparing your salmon that works for you, please feel free to share. thanks- NEVER GIVE UP!!

New plan is working

The new plan is working, i am now losing an average of 3lbs per week. whew, after much stress and headache, I think I got it. Training smarter, not quite harder. So, brief thought for today- train smart, evaluate what you are doing, make up a new plan if you must, but never give up!!
