Good day

Went for my walk this morning, the wind coming off of the water was soooooo cold this morning. WOW!! I was running more than I usually do just to keep warm!! DAYUM, it was COLD!!!!!!!!!My evening workout was the best!! Like I said, we are doing it differently, more cardio type workout, so, they leave me panting and trying to get as much O2 in my lungs as I can. I mentioned to my trainer that due to my shoulder acting up, we should substitute skipping for the jumping jacks. So……today I skipped, wow, skipping is hard work. lol It jumped my heart rate up more that the flippin jumpin jacks. lol But we hit it hard, and I made it through, overall, it was a good workout. Last week, when I put my pants on, I had to keep lifting them up as they were falling….hmmm…I have had to adjust the buckle to go to the next hole….hmmmm, I don’t want to get too happy, I’ll just keep doing my thing and act as if I haven’t seen anything. lol I’m out-peace, love , respect…and MORE FIRE!!!!

It is Friday again!

Ok, so Friday is my reflect on the week day. This has been a rather eventful week for me. I have realized that:

1.Setbacks are just setups for a come back. My head was gone, I wasn’t seeing what I felt I should have, was off the track for a bit, derailed, but I’m back, and ready- as a reggae artist said- We can’t stop now we haffi win! (chuck fenda) Win or lose I am a fighter, I got to do this thang!!

2. My trainer is the best- remember to look out for his web page when it comes out- (i’ll post the address when it hits the net) He knows his $%^# (stuff) and can pull 120% effort out of his clients, much respect to him- IFBB Pro Mr. Carmicael Bryan-big ups to him!! RESPECT EVERY TIME!! I can’t blog enough about the power of an effective trainer, there are not enough words, you really need to see him in action, actually, you need to EXPERIENCE a session with him. If you are ever in Bermuda-SEA VIEW GYM, remember the name, ask for him, tell him i sent you.lol

3. Tomorrow is another day- You may think that things are rough, and they may be, but tomorrow’s another day. Remember that, never give up, there is always tomorrow!! Messed up? Tomorrow, soon come…. fell like you aren’t seeing results? Tomorrow soon come, never give up!!

4. Support- I have linked with a bunch of great people from this site-thanks to all of you thanks for your words-they are helping!! :) Even my morning crew "divas" I look forward to our morning walks, this morning, I jumped out of bed at 5:45 on the dot-this is when we meet, got dressed and peeled out the house like a madman, I wasn’t the only one running late though.lol We chat and laugh for the first few minutes, getting the body warmed, but when it is on-IT IS ON!!!!! We push each other, they say I push them, but it is a symbiotic relationship!! :)

5. Reflection-it is good to stop, look back, and see from whence you have come, it helps to see where you are going. Fridays are my days for this-where did I go wrong, what could I have done better, how can I get more from my workouts, etc.

6. REST!!!!!!!!!! WHEW!!! Tomorrow, I am going to get some beautiful, wonderful, glorious, marvelous…..SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!! mmm…shhh, wait a minute…what is that-hark i hear something…MY BED IS CALLING ME NOW!!!!!! lol :)

“M”

I entitle today’s post "M". Why "M"? The other day I had a post talking about the power of "other".. check it if you haven’t seen it yet. There is a guy at my gym, I’ll call him "M" he has been hittin it hard for a while. The great thing is that you can see the changes in his body, and it is so awesome. He trains with the same great trainer that I have and seeing these two together is energetic-just watching M do his thing made me want to jump in and do a set- today was a just cardio day. Since January he has stopped drinking, and  I wish you all could see him, he is looking awesome. Today he was doing chest and back, his lats were popping out, and the arms had definition, he has come a long way and has made great progress. Much respect to him. So, to anyone out there, who may feel like nothing is hapnin, I prsent "M" to you- i’m out- peeace, remember, never give up and…….MORE FIRE!!!!fire in the gym is your friend :)m1.jpegm.jpegimages.jpeg2m.jpeg

Jumping Jacks?!?!? Me? HA!!

Check it out, two posts ago I mentioned how my trainer has come up with a new approach right? Well, part of this new approach to shock my body was to do jumping jacks. ha ha ha As I was doing them and looking at my reflection in the mirror, I was thinking, "ha ha I have never seen my reflection doing this before…" lol It actually made me chuckle a bit. My reflection has growled and grimmaced as I have squatted, deadlifted, leg extentioned, lunged, and a few more exercises…BUT NEVER JUMPING JACKS!!! ha ha ha i really had to chuckle, even he had to admit that it made him chuckle a bit as well. lol  This new prrogram ain’t no joke though I ain’t even going to lie-whew! The fire was ON!!!! fire in the gym is your friend :) Whew, I was ready to split, but, I have linked with someone who is trying to get in shape for her wedding in May, and she was waiting for me t spin with her…whew…..I WAS BUSTED!!!! So I told her that I couldn’t push her that much today, she understood as she saw my trainer applying the blowtorch on me, so I talked her through it as we jammed to the music. It was a good one. My trainer is the BEST!!!! (if you need some advice, hit him up-his website is coming out soon too ;)   ) but i am out of here and look-it is time to eat again-peace, love respect, MORE FIRE!! and NEVER GIVE UP!!!!

This morning after my walk, inspiration hit. I had a thought, a deep one. So, I log in to this site to go to my post and share my deep meandering mental processes to the world. lol Anyway, I logged in and to my dismay, my page came up blank. No problem, must have loaded incorrect, so I reset the page, still nothing. Where my picture should have been said, post pic here, where my blogs should have been had nothing, all of the wonderful friends that I have met through this had faded into an electronic oblivion…..

But after a few more tries, it said, site down for maintenance, so i was like- whew. So to all my friends and people who have dropped by to post a comment on my blog, thanks, know that I appreciate the advice, the info, the observations, the motivation…peace out- MORE FIRE- NEVER GIVE UP!!!!

Destination of a Thousand Paths

I got this thought as I was riding to work this morning. Bodybuilding is an interesting thing. Because you are dealing with bodies, and bodies of many different types, it is not an exact science. Everyone is trying to get to a certain destination, but the interesting thing is, is that there are many different roads to get there. Some, for example push the ketogenic diet, some add carbs, some, no carbs, some, high reps, some medium, some low. The thing is, there is no right and no wrong. There is, what is working for you. There are many different roads that will take you to the one destination.

My trainer switched up the program yesterday. I guess this to be his rationale: I have been doing the program that I have been doing for a while, I guess that my body is used to doing everything. So the plan, take the next few weeks, do something different and shock the body, homeostasis is a bitch, it helps us to survive, but it also helps us to get stagnant while trying to grow, cut or whatever else your goals may be.

Whichever path you choose to take, know that the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step…….peace

So, you may ask, what is up with the sizzla lyrics today? Note the words; ever been in a battle with your mind? Well, thats me right now…. can’t let it get the best of me, so I figured i’d  call in the troops, can’t get back into that funk again that I was in a few weeks ago, can’t go there again. Not me….. got to be strong…..
Working out is all in your head, I’ve said that before, I know that for me, I have to just do it, for results yes, but mainly because I love it, i love the sound of the gym, the feel of pushing yourself past the limits, encouraging others to go to that far side in their workouts. I love that, and have to remember that i do, can’t forget the bottom line, I love the gym… if i ever get to compete, that would be icing on the cake, but if not, it’s all good.  I have noticed that this blog is for me more than any other reason- hell i even wonder if anyone is even reading them other than me. lol  for real…. but anyway, the battle is on in my head, but i am going to win, can’t give up, won’t give up….. NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!! They just can’ stop me now….

ok, today was a good day. my year level at school went out and flew kites, so i was outside all day, so you know that i was a bit tired at the gym. i was tired, but i still trucked on, got to, there’s a reason!! my gym is closed tomorrow, and sunday, so i am just going to cardio it tomorrow, i think i’ll go riding, i like riding, i don’t mean spinning, i don’t mean being in some gym, i am going to be outdoors, in the fresh air, feeling FREE!!!! that is why i love to cycle (on a bike that is, hey-i have to clear that up- lol) i love the freedom that it gives you, just goooooo!!!! so here i am typing this blog, rather tired, listening to Norah Jones- come away with me…… i like this song, so relaxing. so. being that my gym is closed tomorrow, aand i do not have to go to school, i am going to relax, chill out, kick back. my body was feeling a little bit achy today, i think i need to get a massage, i used to get one like every other week, i think i’ll start that up again. so i’m out- to anyone who reads this- if anyone reads this-thanks, be encouraged, stay focused- more fire!! and NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!!

ok, so i told you how my trainer and i hit it hard yesterday… well here are some pics of him between sets. lol more fire… he claims that the workout was so intense,causing the power to go off. lol blame the power outage on him… ha h aha more fire!! fire in the gym is your friend :)

Leg day again today, boy was it hard. i took some more plasma jet today, not sure if how i felt was due to the crazy pump i got, or if it was all in my head. lol but it took me about 15 mins afterwards to recover. but i’m good now, i’ll keep this one short- peace
