So i have been putting some work into myself for a while….working towards a goal and i’m SEEING results which is awesome, and i feel stronger and am lifting heavier…. but my body measurements don’t appear to be improving. my waist is still the same size which sucks, and i’m losing size in places. maybe i suck at taking measurements…maybe not.
on a side note…..
last night at the gym, brandon (my cousin and gym partner) were working out, and some guy decided to give us some pointers….we spent about 45 minutes getting advice from a veteran lifter. It was extremely helpful, so i have since redesigned my workout regimen. Lets see how things pan out, but i’m excited. He gave me a boost in motivation, that’s for sure!

So i went on vacation starting thanksgiving day and yesterday was my first day back to the gym since vacation. It was a cruise to the bahamas…. lots of booze, great food, and no working out. hey, who doesn’t need a vacation now and then right? The big problem was…before vacation i didn’t have a good workout for a few days anyways.
Yesterday was the first day back from my vacation, and i changed up the workouts. I went to a chest/tris and back/bis/shoulders plan. I was previously doing a push/pull setup with back/chest and bis/tris. I figured i could use the vacation as a break and change things up a bit. We’ll see how things go!

So my diet has completely sucked the last 2 days. I had a little weakness last night, and ordered pizza and had it at like 10:30 or 11 pm!!!! WHAT WAS I THINKING!??!?!
ANd then tonight, in one of my classes over at Thomas College a group presentation was on Dominos and they brought pizza in. I did well tonight and only had 1 piece (so i wasn’t rude) lol.
On the up-side, my workouts have been on point!!! Since Saturday the 8th of November I have worked out 7 days, and hard. I have been running ALMOST everyday with the dog! I am happy with my consistency and habits, but i need to be more strick on the diet!!!
Have a good night everyone!

I worked out more than usual this week, but not enough. I set some goals, i had some good workouts. I have the day off tomorrow and i’m so happy about it! I am glad to be getting back into the swing of things. I’ll be hitting the chest and back pretty hard tomorrow! I have a ton of work to do around the house, plan on taking the Pup for a few good runs!
Anyways, i’m having the time of my life right now and am really trying hard here, so lets hope i can get down to 8% asap. How long should it take? anyone?

So recently I decided it was time that I got my shit together and got back to the gym full time. Winter is coming and I’m dead set against putting on your friendly "winter weight." I have had enough! My body was in prime physical shape when I was 17 years old. Since then it’s been running downhill. I reached a point where I hit 190lbs and i wasn’t happy with how soft 190 felt. I moved from the country to a normal sized Maine town (Fairfield) and I have a year old dog. He is no longer able to just run free on his own, so for the past 2 months I’ve been taking him out on a leash. It started with just a walk, 3/4 of a mile around the block. Then I started jogging that path. Recently it’s become about a mile with some changes added to the route. The dog is happy! I have slimmed down and TODAY was the first day I’ve been under 180lbs in a LONG TIME. I have always lifted, not intensely, not consistently, and not with correct form. Once a week, sometimes when I could I’d go more, sometimes not for 2 months.
Well, YESTERDAY I made a decision to TransForm the old machine into something that I LOVE to see in the mirror. I’m working towards getting down to 8% or less body fat.
Yesterday’s workout was intense and I was still sore today, my chest and back are killing me.
Today, I pushed through the pain and lifted Bi/Tri.
TOMORROW, LEGS and Shoulders.
LETS GO !!!!!
