Own What You Earn …. Either Way!!

Wow it seems my last post made a few people angry! Hey I’m good with that. Are you really mad at me…. or did the truth just hurt? (couple PM’s / E-mails)

When I started training others, I did it because I love Bodybuilding…. not because I thought I would become rich from it. I have turned away more clients than I currently have ….. because if you dont come to work…. you are not wasting my time…. and I sure the hell wont keep you around for what I charge. For those of you that dont know my deal…. here it is.  I give three free sessions…. yep I want to see the work ethics of the person / let them see mine and what I expect…. before I ever take a Dime! I think thats more than fair , dont you?  Then if they want it bad enough…. I only charge $15 per session ( 1 Hour ) thats $30 cheaper than the other Trainers are charging in this area. I dont charge a Gym fee…. and I provide bottled water (no charge…like at public Gyms…lol) and will let them try any supplements I have Plus hepl them order from BB.Com if they like something. I want them to achieve thier Goals…. not just achieve… but exceed them! I may only have 9 clients right now …. but  hell they are 9 hardcore Mothers! (these 9 are Doers not Talkers) When they get asked where they train… it makes me feel proud when they say Bill’s Basement Barbending Gym ( Yeah thats my Gym… My world ). Recently I have seen a trend…. I have been getting calls from People who started comming to my Gym and stopped after thier first few sessions ( yeah the free ones ) and now want to come back (Not Gonna Happen!). Well here is what I see! Summer is Over!  Yep people are turning to fitness  agian now because they need something they can do inside during the Winter. Where the Hell was you this Summer when it was Hot as Hell in the Gym? Thats right you were sitting in the A/C or lounging in the pool with a cold Beer. Yeah I lounge and drink  Beer in my pool too… but I also swim laps and toss Iron dailey. I tell people before we even start…. you fall off my Wagon…. this Bitch keeps rolling!!  I dont hit the brakes so you can get back on….. you want on, you better starting running your ass off to catch it!  I want my Clients to be Real with me and too themselves! First you have to be Real with yourself! When you say you want it…you have to take it! Not quit when things get tough…. you get sore…. Muscles pull and tear…. or you knock your melon on the Bar!  Thats all part of Bodybuilding! Hell I love the soreness…. I expect it…. and I want it! Hell if your going to be a bodybuilder…you better get use to it!

 I was just saying in my last post….. OWN IT!!  You only get out what you put in…… you want to be a Slacker….. then you will look like a Slacker! Keep scarffing down the Cupcakes…. Hell Fattycakes no one will notice any ways!!  I was asked why do I feel it’s okay to call people " Fattycakes" ??  Well I think it’s a little nicer than " LARDASS" dont you? …lol   Dont get offended….. get pissed! If you have to act like each rep you push…. is me! I dont care if it Motivates you to succeed…. then feed off of it! 

 No one likes a whinner / Billy-Bed- Wetter … a person that always has a excuse why they can not…. rather than finding a way they can! If there is a Will … There is a way!!! I have seen people with some serious Handicaps getting fit….. so dont cry to me about your hangnail…. or the Corns on your feet! Because like I said… My Empathy & Smypathy Departments are closed! I’m sorry if this strikes a cord with you…. but maybe you should be honest with yourself…. maybe that cord is one of your Heart strings ringing out….. hoping you will listen to it and wake the Hell up!!   Keep on Keepin!

Stop Crying….. Start Trying!!

How many times do you have to read…. I’m serious this time, I’m back on the wagon, No more Bullshit, or the other 5 thousand tag lines of people who say they ready to get busy??  Heres what I say…. stop whinning and get working!!  Saying your gonna get healthy is easy when it comes to typing it in a blog… going to the Gym and doing the work is another thing! Okay I need to loose some fat…. but I’m not gonna cry to you about it! Crying to you about it…will not get rid of it, now will it? Stop crying… start trying!! 

Do you know the difference between Empathy and Sympathy?

Empathy = the ability to feel what someone elses is feeling , by placing yourself in thier shoes.

Sympathy = feeling sorry for someone elses situation.

Empathy & Sympathy = Compassion

Okay here is the deal…. my Empathy and Smypathy departments are closed!!  Some will say how can you be so cold hearted?  Well when you hear people cry Wolf long enough…. you get to a point where you wish the damn Wolf would come eat thier ass and shut them up! Listen fattycakes…. dont tell me how you feel so bad… because you so blew your diet. Did I hold the cupcakes for you? No that would be you! Did I supersize your meal?  No that would be you!  You want Sympathy… what you need is a swift kick in the ass! Could I have some Empathy? NO!  I did not supersize my meal. Look you have to be a Doer and not a Talker!  Actions speak louder than words!  People will get behind you … if you are showing them you are serious…. by your actions. Some will get behind you and your words…till you suck the life out of them! When they realize they are riding a dead Horse… they will get off the ride!

You want to be a Bodybuilder? Then Bodybuild! Put in the work…. wrestle the Iron…. do the sets and reps and you will become that bodybuilder. Thats the only way it will happen. Telling everyone your master plan and then not doing it…. well why waste everyones time?  Is it so you feel better about yourself?  Hey look in the mirror…. nothing has changed…. how good does that make you feel? I say give the Props where Props are do! You see someone that says they want to lose weight and have lost weight…. well thats a Doer and they deserve support! Not that they need it….. they will do it without you ….. they are doing it for themselves!

Conculsion :  Paperdoll = Eat already and lift some heavy weights!

                   Fattycakes = Stop eating Everything and Exercise!

                   Whinner =   Shut up already!

                    Empathy = Dont do it!

                   Smypathy = Dont give it!

Focus on you! Take back that energy you are wasting on the whinners and use that to reach your goals! Look in the mirror and lay out your goals…. thats the only person that can truley help you achieve them! Keep on Keepin!

Psst! It Wont Go Away Sitting On It!!

It always starts out the same! I meet a new client for the first time and we go over goals… and I always hear I wanna loose a little weight and gain some muscle. Well I always explain loosing weight happens in two places  #1. The Kitchen and # 2 increasing your cardio. I always tell them right up front…. I’m not cooking for you and I’m sure as hell not running for you….lol  I can give them advice… but they have to do that part on thier own! Now when it comes to muscle I will be there by their side for that. I always let them know Muscle is not free…. your gonna have to work your ass off for it! So when you come to my Gym…..  come with the attitude like your going to work (your Job)! See people will get up everyday and go to  work ( well most people…. who dont live off the system) not because they like it….. but because if they dont they will be homeless and hungrey! Hell even fat people go to work!…lol wanna eat dont you??…lol  Now thats the part they just dont get. I have had several (around 20 ) people come to my Gym wanting to become bodybuilders. I always offer up three free sessions for three reasons #1. I want to see if they like me as a trainer / Motivator before they spend thier money. (some say I’m a little tough or call me the Gym Nazi…lol) #2. I wanna see if I really want to give up my time for the little I charge on this person. #3. if they come back after 3 sessions and are willing to pay to do it…. I know they are serious!  9 out of 10 times they never go past the 2nd session and thats okay! That lets me know they are just not ready to commit to it….. and that saves us both a lot of time. My Wife see’s the money side of it…. and says why dont you just go easy on them so they will come back? Well going easy is not going to produce results! Plus this is Bill’s Basement Bar Bending Gym! The same Gym I have busted my ass off in almost everyday for over 2 years! I dont want to start pumping out Elmo Strong Paperdolls!!….lol  When they wear one of my T-shirts… I want people to think….. man thats a hardcore Bodybuilder! Yes I could have a lot more clients right now…. but I will be honest…. the solid 9 I have right now… are 9 I’m very proud of! They have showed true desire to be bodybuilders and have showed they are willing to work for it! I guess what I’m saying (from my point of view as a trainer ) dont try to feed me a shit sandwich…. I’m not going to eat it!!  You want results….. you have to work and work hard. If you want a great body and a magic pill to get you there…. your gonna just keep dreaming! It’s the same here on bodyspace…. over the last 2 years I have seen a ton of people come and go….. but it’s that group of people " The Circle " That have been rock steady in thier bodybuilding believes and thier dedication to one another…. that have shown results! Its been said before…  IT’S A LIFE STYLE!! and thats so true. It’s like choosing to become a Alcoholic or addict….. once you get started you want more!…. and then when you get that taste….. you go to needing a fix…… and before you know it you just cant stop or want to! The great thing about it though…. is it dont strip years off your life, make you loose your teeth, push your family away, or hurt you ability to hold a job!  You will find most people that become successful in the Gym….. seem to become more successful in thier lifes.  Okay to wrap this post up…. Listen up Fattycakes and Slimscaley! You can read all the articals you want…. watch all the training videos you can handle ….. join as many health clubs as you can find….. or buy as many Supplements as they can pump out….  But untill you get your ass in the Gym and start working hard at it.You will always be that same person you see in the mirror and not the one you see in the magazines!!    Keep on Keepin!  My Brothers & Sisters from other Mothers & Misters!

Who Said It Was Easy???

You know sometimes you just have to say F*ck it!! I mean there are times I really dont feel like going down to my Gym and Training (Myself or Others ) but I just do it! It’s not always the best time…. but it’s time! Thats the key to bodybuilding I think. Just putting in the time…. doing the work and getting it done. Hell if this was easy…. every body would have a great body…. and yes the food gets pretty boring at times. I look back two years ago and think….. man I’m glad I have not quit! At least a couple times a week I get CW moments (Compliment Whore ) and that reminds me I’m on the right track. It’s a good feeling to be 40 years old (pushing hard on 41) and still have someone call you eye candy…lol  I think more people make comments to my wife than they do me…. but just hearing what has been said is some great motivation. So dont get down …… dont get tired…… just get it done!  The only easy day….. was yesterday!  There is a old saying that says…..  You can lead a Horse to water…. but you cant make it drink! thats true…. but you could drown the Bastard!  lol  Whinning wont make the weights move……  Keep on Keepin  my Brothers & Sisters Of other Mothers & Misters!
