I weighed in at 190lbs today! I’m 1lb ahead of schedule, I can’t believe how easy it has been coming. The weight is going on evenly so far too - I can still see my abs!
I’ve never weighed more than 190lbs so this is all uncharted territory from here out. I feel like I’m actually on my way to a real bulk now.
I’m getting stronger and stronger too. I highly recommend a bulking cycle to anyone who has never done it before. I guess ectomorph types will benefit the most.

So I’m at week 4 now of my goal to get to 200lbs. Weighed in at 188.8lbs and it is the middle of the week. I’m supposed to be 188 by Sunday so once again I’m ahead of schedule. It feels great that its coming easily, I was pretty worried at first that it would be a struggle. I’m still eating quite clean.
I think by setting a goal of 1lb a week makes it so attainable, and its easy to stay motivated.
The 5×5 program is working well also, I really recommend it to anyone who wants to try something new. I’m increasing in strength every workout. It’s hard to say how much is the program and how much is from putting on body weight, but results are results!

By the end of this week I’m supposed to be 185lbs to stay on track with gaining a lb a week.
Today I weighed in at the gym at 184.5lbs. Pretty pleased with that since I felt lighter, and I’ve gotten off to a bad start. Each week I should have to gain 1 lb, but this week had to be 3lbs. 2.5lbs isn’t bad. I had the swine flu earlier and now I’ve got a cold so I’m happy with my progress.
I also switched up my routine. My old routine was 4-5 times a week, 3×8-10. Chest+tris/Back+bis/Shoulders+abs/Legs.
Now I’m doing a 5×5 routine. Basically a 2 day split with at least 1 day of rest inbetween. Today was benchpress and bent over row. Optional exercises were abs and tris.
I’ve never done benchpress or bent over rows before so it was interesting. Felt good!
186lbs next week!

I’ve decided to get serious and start a bulking cycle. The goal is to get to 200lbs by my next birthday. That will require just over a lb per week until late Feb 2010.
I got started later than I wanted due to coming down with the swine flu, but I’m going hard now! I’ve never broken 190lbs so 200lbs is going to be new territory for me.
I have a fast metabolism and actually work at maintaining the weight I’m at right now (180lbs - 183lbs) so this isn’t going to be easy.
