No bitching…all good news!

1 week down, My first week of prep was a good one…even though I was a little hungry, I did lose 1.2lbs! My trainer was not expecting that, so the good news is that I MAY be able to increase calories to keep my metabolism going :) Even though I only lost a pound, I think that I look leaner so there is yet again another plus! I also took some new measurements the other day and they didnt change too drastically over my bulk. So, even though I gained 13.5lbs during the bulk…it looks like a good amount of it is muscle! YIPPEE!!!! I went to a posing class yesterday…so I’m getting back into the swing of things in that department as well. I am sore today, especially the lower back…its just not normal to stick my ass out like that ;) But on a bright note, I got a lot of great feedback from my trainer as well as others in the class…my body has improved since last time around, my quarter turns and T-walk are improving too!

I’ve been doing lots of browsing for my suit…still not sure exactly what I want! I have to order it soon, so I need to make some decisions. I’m leaning towards a burgundy shade, that much I do know. Also, to help pay for my new suit I am selling my previous suit…if anyone is interested, let me know. :)

Now, I’m off to go grill up some chicken and make some rice for the week…its all about preparation!!!!!

Prep Talk, My safe haven…

I havent been on much lately, things in my world have been really insane. I’m not going to bitch, complain and bore everyone with the details–trying not to dwell on the negative but I am hoping things get better soon. Anywho, on a brighter note…the ONE thing in my life that gets me out of bed in the morning is my training. It is definitely my savior! I met with my trainer this morning and he is very pleased with the progress I’ve made with my bulk :) I’m about 17wks out (est.) so he’s going to be shooting me over a new training routine later today…a 4day split, which I LOVE!!!! He’s also going to be making a few tweaks to my diet, not dropping calories yet but more of a carb/calorie cycling type of thing. Starting my prep is putting a smile on my face! There are so many benifits to fitness that are not part of your "physical" being…what it can do for your head/heart are grossly underestimated!

Tonight I have a family dinner thing to do…should be yummy! I am treating it as my "farewell" to crap LOL!!! I’m going to get my eat on for the final time before prep starts—and you can bet your life there will be dessert involved ;) I hope everyone has a fabulous Valentines Day…spread the love!!! If you’re celebrating with some candy, have some for me!     *SMOOCHES*

I FINALLY took some new pictures and uploaded them this morning! I weighed in at 117.6lbs today. Overall, I’m up a total of 13.6lbs since my competition…thats about a little over 3 months. As much as I’d like to say its all mucsle, there is some obvious bodyfat increase as well BUT I was eating really naughty for a while so all in all the damage wasnt TOO severe ;) I have been training hard—really kicking my own ass and loving it! I am feeling super strong and that is empowering!! I’m really happy with the mass that I’ve gained in my back/lats, definitely wider…I cant wait to see my taper when I’m all ripped! I’ve also gained some quality mass in my legs too but like most women, I do carry the extra weight in the booty and hammies so its not all that thrilling to see the softness there and as usual yeah, I do miss my abs :(   I am trying to look at them with a different perspective, since I tend to be rather hard on myself…I just cant wait to start kickin things into contest prep mode! I hope that I have made significant enough changes to really rock the stage this June!

I’d love to hear any feedback/constructive criticism…so let me have it :)
