just yappin’ again
this has been a great week! the weather has been amazing—i HATE winter, so this little taste of spring has been quite wonderful! i had some really great workouts this week (even though the gym has been crazy crowded), i have increased my weight on alot of exercises so that feels awesome
like i said, the gym has been packed with ‘new years resolution’ people. i actually feel bad for some of them because they look so lost—but i’m not the type to offer advice when not asked (nor would i want to receive it). i saw a guy doing db bicep curls so fast! i’m talking like 30 reps…i felt bad, he’s just wasting his time. but, we’ve all made mistakes—hopefully they’ll all learn from them (like i did)
so, anyone that has read my previous blogs knows that i hate numbers—they drive me nutty! regardless, i decided to do my weight, body fat and my measurements. my weight has stayed pretty consistant but i always have a hard time with my measurements because i always forget where i had the tape the last time i took them. plus, i cant remember if i was flexed or relaxed! then, theres the dreaded body fat. i used my scale first on ‘normal’ setting—well it said 21%! i thought it seemed a bit high, so i switched it to ‘athletic’ setting—yeah, that said 6%!!! OMG-there is no way! i’d be F-ing shredded, competition lean and while it would be nice…it aint right!
so, i used my trusty calipers and that came to about 15%—so thats what i’m going with. i told you these numbers drive me batty
so if anyone wants to take a look at my pics and give me your best estimate—i’d love to hear it!
this morning i was in the shower and as i was shaving my legs i noticed how nice and tight my hamstrings are! then, while i’m showering i realized how muscular my back and shoulders felt! it made me giggle
i dont know why i havent noticed this every other day but i was so excited! i just wanted to share that lil’ story with everyone…i know i’m a tiny bit weird
