happy halloween!

happy halloween to all!!! hope everybody had a great one. i had work today so not so much fun :( i did go and watch my neice in her school parade…she was a very cute bat. oh…to be six again :)

 i had a great workout today…oh how i love leg day! i did squats, leg press, ext and curls and threw in some calf raises. i have also added bulgarian squats…wow not as easy as it looks!!! i’m just doing body weight until i have my balance down…i tried using dumbells but im not quite stable enough for that :P i really like doing them…it feels like it hits things differently.

i need to rant for a quick sec…i have a quite a few pet peeves but there are somethings that just drive me crazy. the thing that makes me nuts at the gym is guys and gals wearing perfume/colonge! seriously…if your sweating like a pig and you stink…congrats! your working hard…use a little deodorant! im sure whatever scent you choose really does smell wonderful…but when i can taste it its a bit much! ok…thanks i feel better!

woo hoo…i FINALLY uploaded some new pics. some i like…some i dont, i guess thats just the way it goes :) although it does suck being pale…everything usually looks better with a tan ;)

 i also ordered calipers to test my bodyfat instead of using the scale because my scale changes all the time…like one day its 25% then the next day its 19%! so, i used my calipers this morning and it came out to 18.4%. im trying not to get really hung up on the number itself but focus on the number going down….thats the important part!

anyway…i had a really good week! i trained really hard…and loved every minute of it. my diet was also really good…i had two days where i ate an increased amount of calories/carbs….yummy! it was so good :P

hopefully the new tweaks to the diet will help me lean out a little bit for my next set of pics!

making some changes

well, after finishing BFFM i decided that i really need to make some changes in my diet. while i do make very good food choices (i eat very clean)…i dont think that i’m eating enough for all of my activity. i weight train 6x a week (i hit each body part 2x)….i also do cardio 6 days per week…gets me up and going in the morning. well….during all of this activity i am only eating 1400 calories a day. so, i am going to add 2 days this week of 1600. i will try that to see how my body responds then (if im not gaining) in another week or two i will add another day of higher calories to evenually increase them without gaining fat. i was always scared to increase my calories to much (i was @ 1200 a while ago) but i think it may be time to. hopefully the increase will help my metabolisim and help me burn some fat :)

well, i had a very busy weekend…so it feels good to finally relax! i did a whole lot of running around…here, there and everywhere…not much fun. although, on saturday i did get pumpkins!!! i love to carve pumpkins…i very big on halloween! so sad…im too old for trick-or-treating :(   oh…who wants all that candy anyway :P

now that i feel like im getting my diet headed in the right direction…i think im gonna have a really great week! lets hope it will be less hectic than my weekend!

feeling refreshed :)

hello to all! for a while now i have been kinda struggling with things. i have not really been making any progress…i have just been spinning my wheels and getting nowhere. so, since i’m stuck and kinda bummed i FINALLY ordered "burn the fat, feed the muscle". i’ve been saying that i would for a while but this weekend i finally did it. i’m not finished yet…but so far so good. this book is amazing! i know with this new tool i will definatley get on the right track and start achieving my goals! i havent been able to stop reading it…im hooked. i know that this will help me bust right through my plateau…im so excited! instead of feeling shitty about the way things have been going…i now feel great! i have a whole new burst of motivation!  YAY ME!!!

 and finally…my baseball update: i am watching the indians/yankees….hopefully the indians can hold the lead and head to fenway to face the sox on fri! i was in quite a bit of mourning on sunday after staying up late to watch my phillies get swept by the rockies on saturday night :( im not so sad anymore…they had a great season and im praying that the front office will make some moves this off season to put them over the top! pitching, pitching, pitching!!!! we have enough offense!

anywho…im feeling good…upbeat and positive! i hope everyone has a great night!

when i wrote my last blog i was so pumped up from my phillies making the post season…now less than 1 week later and they are down 0-2…not at all what i was expecting :( my training for the most part was pretty good this week…with the exception of wednesday because i had tix to the game, which started @ 3pm (stupid time…dont get me started!) so i couldnt get to the gym in the afternoon like i usually do…so i got up at 5AM!!! my gym doesnt open until six, so i just decided to work out at home. i didnt have time for both…so i opted for weight training instead of cardio (wow…i have come a long way!) it was leg day, which is my favorite day of the week…so since i had to work out @ home i wasnt able to get the same intense workout but for 5AM…i think it was pretty damn good ;)

i finally took some new pics…but i hate them! i think they look horrible!!! i usually take pics in the morning before i eat or drink anything so everything is nice and tight. well, today i took them in the late afternoon…wow, i hope it was just because i ate and drank all day. i just did not look good. im gonna try taking so more pics earlier in the day and see how they turn out.

i got in a little extra cardio today…i took my dog for a walk. it was supposed to be a nice stroll if you will…but he just dragged me everywhere. hes a little boy (22lbs) but damn hes strong.

well, the phillies have off today…gives them a day to rest and regroup. im hoping they can win the next two and bring it back to philly…i have tix for game 5! i did enjoy watching the indians take a 2-0 lead on the yankees…right now the sox are trailing the angels but im sure they can come back and take a 2-0 lead as well.

wow…hitting the gym, walkin the dog and stayin home on a friday night to watch playoff baseball…do i have an exciting life or what :)
