so so sore!

i started my new workout routine yesterday and it was leg day. my favorite day of all, i had a great workout! :) today on the other hand was abs/cardio. i got up bright and early (6:15 am) to do hiit…but OMG my legs and butt are killing me! there was no way in hell i could physically do hiit, so i did a low/moderate jog for about 30min. i went to the gym in the afternoon and did my abs then did 25min on the elliptical…but nothing too intense!

nothing feels better than a great workout (even if i’m a little sore for a couple days)…im not complaining…its all worth it ;)

new training routine

i am working on putting together my own routine for the first time. all the other programs i’ve used were put together by a trainer…but that costs $$$$! so…i’m gonna try and do it myself.

i would love some feedback…let me know what works, what doesnt…and any changes i should make. i want to make sure i’m doing the right amount of exercises per body part and spliting up the routine correctly!

thanks in advance :)

sunday and wednesday:     legs: squats/lunges/leg ext./seated leg curl/bb dead lift

monday and thursday:       back/bi: lat pull down/bent over db row/seated cable row/hammer curls/concentration curls

tuesday and friday:            chest/tri: db bench press/db fly/db shoulder press/side lateral raise/db upright row/ skull crushers/cable tricep pushdown

all exercises are 3 sets of 10-12 reps. i do weight traing in the afternoon, so i’ll be doing my cardio first thing in the morning.

today sucks

i had an awful day! i woke up, bright and early to be greeted by my period!!!! :( eek…it was the first time since january (before that it was august), so you can see why it was such a surprise. since it’s been so long, i forgot how much it sucks!!!! i fought with myself about going to the gym…but i went! i’m such a good girl! today was abs and cardio, so not too bad (or so i thought) doing crunches…ect, not much fun! i normally do 20 min of hiit on ab days…today it was more of just intervals, not quite as intense as it should be…so, feeling guilty that i didn’t give it my all, i added 20 mins of walking 4.0mph on an incline on the treadmill. it was definatly taxing on the body! later in the afternoon i took my dog for a 45min walk…fun but not intense in any way…although i wore my new flipflops and now my feet are killing me ;)

lastly, i still feel like shit….hopefully my period goes away quickly and doesn’t come back for another 5 months :p

new pics!!!!

yay…i finally took some new pics! i haven’t posted new ones in a while but i FINALLY got a bathing suit!!! i’m working on a tan. i’m very irish, so i don’t tan well…i tried the mystic tan and i’m a little undecided on if i like it. anywho, i actually like my pics…i can’t believe i actually said that :)

i have a scale that also measures body fat (i’ve heard there not very accurate) but i check it anyway…i was feelin pretty good about my pics and progress then the damn scale says 25%!!! please tell me it ain’t that high…if anyone can give me an estimate by looking at my pics i’d appreciate it!
