mmmm…sore!

now that i’ve got my diet going well, i’ve started a new weight training routine. i was working with a trainer the past 2 days and WOO HOO…IM SORE! i love it when my muscles ache…i feel like i’m really challenging myself. i haven’t felt this way in a while and i love it…it makes me really excited and motivated to get my ass to the gym! on another note…its finally nice outside on the east coast! it’s stopped raining and the sun is out, so after i had a great workout today i took my dog…brody for a walk. there is nothing better than going outside for a nice walk in the fresh air with my puppy! now, if only i can get him to jog alongside me…he’s not well trained ;)

well now i have to get to sleep and get my sore body some rest!

i’ve got my diet going pretty well…as i’ve increased my calories, my weight on the scale increased as well. i was not too happy to get on the scale and see 117 lbs and i looked fat too (bloated). i weighed my self today and my weight dropped back down to 112 so that felt good…and looks much better. im figuring my body was shocked by the extra food and didnt know what the hell was going on…but i guess my body adjusted and things look and feel much better. i do very well with not cheating and eating very clean…BUT i have to cut a good food out of my diet…PEANUT BUTTER! i cant have just one serving. i binge on it then feel horrible…i dont mean just 2 servings, im talking like 5! so i cut it out last week and decided to get some healthy fats with some nuts…well that didnt work too well either. it worked pretty good for the first few days but then as i have just a few..it adds to a few more and then the next thing you know i just had like 4 handfuls! way too much…and now my tummy dont feel good! :(   so looks like thats something i just cant have. when stuff tastes good and is that easy to just grab i tend to over-indulge!

well…now that i’ve vented and im sleepy…im taking my little tummy ache to bed!

still tinkering

i’ve been really working hard on getting my diet on point! i did struggle a little bit going to the phillies games (having to eat meal replacement bars…ect). im trying to introduce more quick snacks that i can eat in 5min while at work (instead of protein bars). today i had off from work, still had a lot of running around to do but i think i did pretty good today…tried to get some fats, carbs and protein in each meal.

heres how my day went:

*wake up and 20 mins HIIT first thing*

meal 1: 1 scoop of protein powder and 3/4 cup of oats

meal 2: 1 slice whole wheat bread with 3 thin slices of chicken breast 

*weight training*

meal 3: 1 scoop of protein powder, 1/2 cup of oats and 1 cup of veggies

meal 4: 1 tuna fillet, 1/2 cup of oats and 1 cup of veggies

meal 5: salad with balsamic vinagarette dressing and 4 oz of grilled chicken and 2 cups of veggies

meal 6: 1 tuna packet (single serving packet)

i think i ate very well today…i eat alot of tuna and oats…i love ‘em….cant go wrong. of course easter is this sunday and i’ll be having dinner at my parents house, which basically means nothing of any health value…if it is healthy i hate it. my moms making ham (yuck) and cabbage (ewww). i figure if i eat clean before i go over their house and after i come home…then a little cheat meal wont kill me :) she is making baked mac and cheese! yummy! my fave. i have been such a good girl…i should treat myself! i’ll be working out in the morning anyway so my metabolisim will be burning that bad food ;) besides i’ll be hanging with my 5-year old neice (who is just learning to jump rope) so she’ll keep me movin!
