new progress photos up. Suit color is pretty. Time for the bling. I had to cut the top and move the cups out. I’ll decorate it and hope for the best.
I’m excited. Already thinking about what I can do better next year. Oh this competition will not be the last……

Okay got my suit…..excited and worried. First off, I did not expect it to be unfinished. There were no hooks on it. and the straps were just that, unfinished. Fortunate for me, I can sew and knew what I needed, I got the hooks and thread and this weekend I’ll finish it. I’m just thinking for the price….hmmm, should have if nothing else came with the hooks in the package. Second, the top is not the style I gave or sent a photo of and it appears to be a little small. That this portion I can only blame my self. I should kept a cup size. I’ll make it work.
The excited portion, the bottoms fit beautifully and the color is gorgeous. I went with pink salmon……..wait let me shoot a quick pic……Okay image it too big. Gotta photo shop it. but need to hit the gym. I’ll put it on this weekend.
Also have to add the bling…….gotta alot to do…..Been rocking the shoes though.

When it come to being older, they say Father Time…I like Mother Nature better….hehe
Well men, you may want to skip this blog……It’s for the ladies.
First off, I had my annual well woman check yesterday and the doctor (new) and her staff did not believe I was in my 40’s. That’s a compliment. The doctor reviewed my file and now knows better. But even more so, when she did my exam, It really confirmed my age. I believe my eyes tell my age. They always seem dark and tired and new stronger prescription glasses were just bought. ;0(. (They are cute though, the glasses). BUT, did you know, and here we go…..your vaginal walls will tell age and stage of menopause. When the doctor said "It’s no wonder you are having hot flashes." Her assistant said with shock, "Menopause?! I thought you were in your 30’s." I said, "God Bless you."
What did I say all this for. My body is in the best shape it has ever been in as an adult. I am in better shape then I was in the military at age 20. My hair was down, my nails were done. I walked up in there with "I’m Every Woman" singing in my head. I’m Mom, I’m Granma, I’m me. I’ll do my change of life jig and get on with it.

I’m just checking in. Have been over worked this week….so much so that I had to leave 5 hours early from work to go to sleep this morning. Ever been so exhaustedn when you finally lay down, you get a sinking feeling, like sinking into the mattress. I was down. Still the sleep was restless. I got up and did 62 minute HIIT on the cross ramp. Going to a football game tonight and will follow that with leg/glute training in the gym.
Tomorrow is the original competition I wanted to be in, in Lakekand Florida. I knew I would not have had my suit in time nor be as ready as I feel I will be in October. I am however going to see the prejudging and judging and see where I fit into the whole scheme. Will give my critiques tomorrow. New shoes and my suit will be here next week. Yea!!
Peace.

I give up on the 5" heels. I just ordered a 4" with straps. My calves won’t let me practice in the higher heel. I threw on a pair of heels with my jeans yesterday and wore them all day. I’m going to have to do that when I am not working out or at work to get my feet and legs comfortable in heels. As one ages, depending on the person and the career, one gets away from heels and opts for the comfortable shoes, me being one of them. I wore heels all the time as a young lady. My current collection is truly comfortable.
But, I will say this, it is far easier to walk in heels at a lighter weight. Makes a big difference.
Peace

New progress photos up and when I yanked them shorts up, I could see the competitor pose. Five weeks to go, adjusting diet again, down another pound. I realize my number may be higher then others but check the pics, Imma big girl. Still looking slim at 156. picked up running 2 miles as my first cardio of the day, then a machine in the evening.
Did a yoga class, last night. Wow. Okay one…needed it. It was lights down low, eyes closed, deep breathing, meditation. Two, I could do the moves. The low plank position (don’t know the animal name), where you are closess to the floor, did push my limit. Could be in the up plank all day. There was the challenge with the knees on elbows (it was some bird move), I could do it only with my head on the floor, but I could do it. That was pretty cool. No pains this morning.
I tried to practice in my shoes after yoga. Could have been the yoga or the run earlier but my calves were not having it. Both cramped up just by putting the shoes on. Just practiced posing in sneaks. I really have to go to a lower shoe. I need to eliminate that worry on competition night. I have enough to worry about.
Peace
