Miss the Site/Photos

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

I have not been on the site in a week or more and I so missed it.

Took my before photos today for the Hydroxycut Hard Body and the little bikini made me appear very big and soft.  Yuk!  I compared the pictures from last year and I’ve gone from a size 14 to a 10 today and the photos don’t look to different.  I will say my upper body is wider and  thicker but ;0( Im not seeing the big difference. So, some of them are going on the progress photo section. Check them out.

Joined the YMCA this week to add to my arsenal of workout places.  Here, I can swim and take classes.  Now I have cardio equipment at the work gym but at the Y, try flat screens on each piece, with cable.  I was in heaven last night, 1 hour on the treadmill watching a whole show.  What a great invention.  A neighboring YMCA has spinning classes, never tried it.  Think I will.

Rob, my trainer, is back to training, Praise God.  He is doing wonderfully.  He’s more detailed and the last 2 trainings were murder.  I kindly thank him for the pain after each session.

I’m increasing weights regularly and switching things up.  Making a new commitment to hone in on the nutrician to pull it all together.  Looking forward to Europa in Orlando (April) for modivation from the competitors.

Peace.

Feelin’ Smooth

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

Had a deep tissue massage yesterday, my first.  It hurt.  She kept asking if I was okay but she can see on my face as I replied, "I’m okay."  She’s got mad skills.  She felt under the skin and found every spot that has ever been sore and rubbed it, shook it, and hit it with a tuning fork.  Don’t understand the concept but it felt good.

One of the important things I got out of it was that chest and shoulder training can cause me to lean forward.  When I stand and pull my shoulders back, it did not appear to be with ease.  I needed my chest opened up more, if that makes sense.  She massages the tendons of the muscles as it connects to the bones.

I went right home, ate and fell right back to sleep, so I was really relaxed.  Followed with a shoulder workout and cardio and I felt great.  She said I’d fell sore in a couple of days.  Not looking forward to that.  I’ll just try to work through it.

Today, I’m back with my trainer who is doing great and is back to training. This is my first time with him in 4 weeks.   I maintained my training but I progress better with him.  Diet……UH…..whole nother story.

Workout Tracker

Saturday, March 7th, 2009

I just completed my first Workout Tracker entry.  I know when I journal on paper, it appears to be alot. But to see it on screen, WOW.  This is a very valuable tool and it makes you accountable to yourself when it’s all out there. You guys try it if you have not already.  I’ll keep my workout notes up to date.

Legs Legs Legs

Saturday, March 7th, 2009

Today was a back and bi workout.  Did good but not why I am blogging.  My hardest part to tone is my thighs, typical for old ladies.  I have to get it in my head that I have to work my abs and my legs harder to get the same results as my upper body is giving me.

Well, I was seatting working my upper back and PA POW! Quads popped out.  Shadows of shapely muscle from my hip to my ankle.  Not the same result standing up except on my toes, my calves are rockin.  And with them I must be doing something right because my calves are slim and thats the look my want, strong and slim.

My last workout was legs and I am so glad I am FINALLY seeing results.  I still have a ways to go and I know alot of it is nutrition.  I am working on it.

By the way, I am wearing gloves and still getting calliouses, anybody got any suggestions. Hands really hurt this morning.

Support/Challenge

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

I have great support online but I must mention the people here at work that are not only supportive but actively on board or jumping on board to get themselves in shape as well.  That’s what is great.  Everybody is comparing notes, talking about actvities, talking about proteins and nutrition.  We are about to switch shifts and plans are being made to workout together.  This is Awesome.  Everyone is helping everyone else get fit.

I got blasted out this week.  I shared my happy thoughts of a fellow coworker, and older gentleman, who was rocking the biceps in the gym last week. He’s much higher rank so it was kinda catch a climpse out of the side of your eye without disturbing the man from his workout.  I was impressed.  So impressed that I shared it in my work area.  Someone told him.  Right under the bus I go.  hehe.  I was told he blushed, smiled and said thank you.  The man is 58, with a rocking upperbody everything.  I’ll have to wear shades in there now.  Im in cognito.

Okay I am really trying hard to drop fat. Sooooo, I’m entering the Hydroxycut Hard Body Challenge,  One of those before/after photo things.  I have a long weekend this weekend so Im going to put new progress pictures up.  Now they will look better then my earlier pictures (I hope) but they are going to be "before" pictures for this challenge.  Im hoping to lose fat and have a more chiseled look by June.  Goal is 8-9 bodyfat.
