hey friends! so this next month, my transformation story is going to be featured in the Vitamin Shoppe’s magazine Muscle and Body! My first print story and I am super excited. I hope it reaches and inspires women and men too, everywhere!! yay. go get it!

well, its sunday night and i decided what better way to keep up with my precontest prep than to blog it out. like that, bio! haha. anyways, tomorrow morning i start my serious diet and training and am super excited. i am training with my girlfriend/figure pro kristal richardson and couldnt be more excited. i looked at seeking diet and training plans elsewhere but chose kristal who definitely knows her stuff! so, i am excited to see what this body is capable of. i have come a long way but know this is only really a midpoint. thats exciting stuff. so, keep in touch and i will keep everyone posted on progress.

hi friends. well not sure if you all saw my transformation feature on the main page of bb.com a couple of weeks ago but that was super exciting. i love this site and was so proud of have my story on the weekly feature! yay. today is the end of a twelve week challenge and i am happy with the results. i posted my updated pic on my profile pic. i am still working hard and am considering very strongly, doing the fitness universe bikini competition here in miami in june. very intimidating but hey, go big or go home.. isnt that what they say? so, i am heading to the Arnold next week to watch some friends compete and am very excited about that. lots of great networking there too. so, keep your fingers crossed that i will make some great connctions. i really just have a strong passion for reaching other women and inspiring and encouraging them to be their best. 12 weeks til june competition which will be my first!! so, lots of diet and prep to do but i am up for the challenge! keep in touch and check back for my progress!

wow, i have been lazy with the blog writing, though still at it with the transformation. things are going great and i have nine weeks left til the end of this transformation. the new pics i posted are from dec 17 so right as this challenge was beginning. i can definitely appreciate how far i have come from being heavy, but i am using this twelve week transformation to put on the final touches. i have nine weeks left.. i did let the holidays derail me a bit but not too much.. i managed to still work out in the freezing weather while in Michigan but did eat sweets here and there that i didnt plan on eating.. but hey, its the holidays right? and nothing too too crazy. anyways, excited for this next phase in my fitness quest. i am entertaining the idea of competing this spring or summer. so, we’ll see whats next!

well looks like i am back on track. i am feeling good, down a few pounds and really feeling energized and focused for this next block of time.
i feel like i am on track with losing the body fat i needed to and now its about building muscle and sculpting. any ideas on how to accomplish that? i know i need to be really digging in with the protein. i would love to hear any suggestions on how to put on muscle and sculpt what i have.

so i guess last week i disappeared a bit from blogging.. see, i had a crazy week and was sorta all over the place with the workouts and diet. nothing too bad or crazy but definitely back on track this week. i still have about 12lbs of bodyfat to lose and i think i will see a huge difference. i once read in Oxygen magazine, abs are made in the kitchen. its so so true. diet is such a tremendous part of an amazing body. its definitely the tough part for me and i am practicing every day to get it right. my body tends to react right away to clean eating. so thats the good news, the bad news is that its just tough to be consistent. i know, excuses excuses.
anyways, so far so good this week. still on track for a tight diet and workout plan for 12 weeks and i cant wait to see the results and show all of you too!!

So, question… is sushi really healthy? i just love it but i am not sure that the abundance of rice and even low sodium soy sauce is on the eating clean radar.. it sure is good though.. what do yall think?

so, i think i have decided that my next goal will be a duathalon. its basically a one mile run, ten mile bike and then three mile run. sounds nice.. great views right along the ocean here in miami.. anyways, i think i am gonna try it. the only tricky part is the bike part. i mean, the bike course includes a pretty steep bridge. i hope i can make the climb. the race is about a month out so i think i have plenty of time to practice.
i am the type of girl that needs a goal, short goals and long goals. so, this is a short goal to give me something to train hard for and do. i mean, i just dont want to come in last place. and hey, if i do, at least i did it, right? but lets not say all that just yet.. i think i could do well. i need to work on my speed with the running which i am in a new track program and then i need to practice biking on hills.
okay, sounds good. of course i will keep you posted.

Great workout today.. took it a bit easy since today is technically supposed to be my "off" day with my marathon training. The group meets Saturday mornings for a long run.. Its fun.. gets crazy and annoying and early but its nice running among others in Miami that want to reach personal goals. Tomorrow is 6am, 7 miles.. should be nice. Anyways, so today i had triceps and calves which should leave me good for tomorrow mornings run.
More jump roping today.. its slightly addictive.. oh and my favorite jump roping song, " put yo hands in the ayer… " haha.. its got that perfect jump roping beat. i did however manage to whip myself again.. three times today in the forearm. boy, i always thought i was coordinated but this rope is trying to prove me wrong.
okay, so i hope every one is well and wrapping up a good week heading into a nice relaxing weekend. tomorrow is the run and i will write afterwards.
