Checking in
Howdy all!
It’s been a while since I’ve checked in. This summer has been tough! Good news is I got all A’s and one B in my classes-not bad for having been out of school for 20 years! I’ve been accepted to the university as a transfer student and I’m all set for that for fall term! Bummer news is that we had to euthanize my furry, four-legged best friend this summer. That little dog has been with me for 16 years and it was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I kept reminding myself it wasn’t about me-it was about him-and giving him the gift of peace was the right thing to do. It didn’t make saying good bye to him any less painful though
So I’ve been depressed and grieving-and eating emotionally too I’ll have to add. It’s strange, when I’m depressed I feel like my body is very heavy and that I’m moving in slow motion. Sometimes just getting out of the house takes a herculean effort that I don’t always have…

Trust me. I know what you are going through. I had to get rid of 5 of my dogs, due to illnesses in the span of a few months. All of them were (and still are !) FAMILY ! I miss them terribly. It has taken some time to actually start getting over that.
To my friends, I tried to be brave and act as if nothing had happened (they don’t know about the relationship that we have with our dogs/pets). THAT took more energy than anything else.
Now, I am trying to focus on my goals (some personal, like getting my family back together) and little by little, I will accompish them all.
Good luck with getting back on track. You can do it !
Have a Great Day !!!
Respectfully,
Manny
