Ok…so this has been a really bad week, i have the flu pretty bad. still trying to eat right but nothing tastes good, and most of the time the mere thought of food turns my stomach. I haven’t been able to work out cause i’ve just been too weak to do so, and i honestly think that’s just making me feel worse, I’m hoping by the weekend i’ll be feeling good enough to start back. On the good side…I’ve had a fever, so what little i have eaten just gets sweated right out.

Ok…so i went off track for a few days, It’s been a ver hectic weekend to say the least, and i’ve felt a bit guilty about not being able to work out. But i did get alot accomplished. And rather than kicking myself for something that’s already passed, the best thing i can do is put on the running shoes, get back on the old swiss ball, grab the weights and get back on the horse. Though after this mornings work out…I’m thinking that horse done trampled on me…LOL. It would be so easy to just not do it anymore, but if i did that, i’d never reach my goal. I was asked this weekend to do a 13.5 mile run in febuary, I’m still pondering the answer. Not because i don’t want to do it, simply that i’m not sure i’ll have the funds to get to the place it’s being held. I think though…reguardless of whether or not i go there to do, 13.5 miles is a good goal to make for myself by febuary, even if i have to do it here at the house. Next goal…giving up smoking…Wish me luck.

Been a bit discouraged over the last week or so, but i’m trying really hard not to get into a rut. i’m still doing my workouts 6 days a week, just not feeling it as much as i did when i first started, been trying to think of ways to change things up a bit, but so far, haven’t thought of anything. the food side of things is going well. I think mostly it’s just that i’ve been a little sick today and just not feeling good physically, I’ve had an ear ache and a bit of a sore throat. hoping tomorrow is a better day.

Today has definately been an awesome day, lost a few more pounds, I’m now down to 235, and I’m really excited about it! Got a new workout buddy as well, she’s pretty cool and a blast to hang out with, though i think sometimes we spend more time laughing than actually working out, we’ve been using the swiss ball, and neither of us have really good balance on it yet.

I’m now up to walking 2 miles a day. Never in a million years thought i’d be walking to miles a day. It feels really good, even with the few aches and pains from my nightly weight training and crunches. did legs and abs last night, feeling it this morning, on the good side, my arms don’t hurt anymore from the work out the night before last LOL.

Ok, Today was an awesome day…I got up at 7 am, fixed breakfast for my family, i resisted the call of the all mighty cinnamon roll, and stuck with one whole egg and an egg white scrambled, one slice of bacon, and a piece of whole wheat toast, and three small slices of block cheese, my normal breakfast as of the last two weeks. then i took my vitamins went for my walk, i walked 3/4ths of it and actually jogged 1/4th of the mile…then i did something i haven’t done since i was 15…I actually put my big fat butt on a bicycle, and though it felt like i was dying…i rode that bike for 1/4 mile. i know thats like really light weight…but as Chief said, Babysteps. Anyway…My husband ((my rock)) also took my measurements today, and we found that in all i’ve lost 9.5 inches total body, 4 Of that was my waist alone…i was stoked. I still am…i know i’m probably making a mountain out of a mole hill here….but i’ve never been able to ((or really had the will and focus till now)) to do something like this, I would just really like to thank everyone i’ve spoken to here for the amazing support and Patience you all have/give to someone you really don’t know….and let you know that you are wonderful people! Keep up the awesome work with your own goals!

Ok i think i’m back on track after my really bad day on thursday. I don’t think I’ll be attempting to eat another whopper anytime soon ((LOL)). I did my cardio walk friday morning, came home from that, and was drinking my water, then got really sick ((I’m pretty sure i just over heated a bit)). I Pretty much ate like i was suppose to all day yesterday though, and last night did about 100 crunches of different types and some light weight training, this morning i’m feeling pretty good.
P.S. I Just Jogged about 1/4 mile of my mile walk…Not really something to brag about i know…but two weeks ago, i couldn’t jog 1/10th of it….I’m so excited!!!!

Ok all, sorta new at this stuff, so bare with me please… I am a 34 year old female, i’ve been married for 13, almost 14 years, I have three children all with different body types and different personalities. I have tryed to instill in them to love themselves no matter what. But…and this is where it gets tricky… Loving yourself, and being healthy, isn’t always the same thing.
My oldest is 18 and has the metabolism of a cheetah…she can eat anything, and never gain a pound… i.e. she’s been a size 0 and never more than a 5 since she was 12.
My middle child, almost 17 now, (( and one of the main reasons i started this)) is beautiful, but at 17 she weighs 240…only one pound less than myself. While i said i taught my children to love themselves no matter what others think…I fear for her health…in my family, there is a strong history of heart disease, and diabetes. I fear if i don’t get her healthy now, that will be the path she is headed down.
My youngest…is 13, she lies somewhere in the middle of her two older sisters, a little over weight, but not terribly so, nothing a little walking and excercise won’t help, with a combination of eating the right foods.
Then comes myself…at the moment, I weigh 240, i started out at 246 again not a healthy weight with my family history. My goal for myself…is to lose atleast 80 pounds, would rather lose 100, but my starting goal is 50.
Kind of a bad stopping place, and i will post more later, If anyone has any suggestions or comments on ways to help accomplish my goal, i’d be glad to read them.
Thanks, NaughtyStorm
