The Cage is like no other. There are no free samples, no free t-shirts given out. When you come to The Cage you come there for to see Animal come to life. You get to meet and hang with the pros. They are not behind a desk signing autographs, you walk up to them, shake their hand like men, talk shop, ask them questions. If you want an autograph you get one, no purchase necessary. Come hang out, see some awesome lifting exhibitions heck you can even enter various lifting contests and win cool prizes. Ox, House, Wrath, Vinny, The Freak, BigAl, BigAnt and G Diesel were there all weekend.
It’s not over when the expo ends. Animal lives the lifestyle, we don’t just talk the talk. When the expo is over every night we were at Metro Fitness training and then we all went to eat afterwards at Max & Erma’s. We were not out partying at night.
We had our national ABC event on Saturday night at Metro Fitness. They closed the gym to the public and it was open to Animal from 8pm-10pm. Anyone could come provided they wore an Animal shirt, it was no charge. We had 102 people! Our largest ABC event to date. The atmosphere was incredible with pro’s training with everyone, it was all about teaching, motivation and community. I got there late, I had a great honor. On behalf of Universal Nutrition being a major sponsor of the weekend I got to go on stage and hand the 3rd place award to Branch Warren. It was a VERY cool experience.
Something we did differently this year was add a VIP area to The Cage. If you are a member of the Animal Pak FORVM you had the opportunity to get a VIP badge and come and go as you please all weekend to the "Box" which was a fenced off area of The Cage where you had a front row seat to all the lifting events (away from the crowd) there was a microwave, a water cooler and a cabinet full of supplements and shakers including some never before tasted formulas. It’s our way of giving back to our loyal FORVM members.
At high noon on Saturday we held our "Blackout" event inside The Cage. It was another way that Animal gives back, we presented Mr. Aesthetics with his Animal gym bag full o’ goodies. We also gave out another Animal gym bag packed with goodies in a raffle. The new pro’s vs bro’s events were awesome as well as the lifting exhibitions put on by Sam Byrd, Bobbie Fields and Nick Winters. The pro’s gave seminars all weekend as well.
All in all it was a great weekend with our biggest and best Cage to date. I can’t wait until next year.
