My first competiton
I did it! I competed! It was a great experience. I learned A LOT! I highly recommed participating in a show that is previous to the one you are working towards. We now know how much spray tan I will need, hair down looks good, how soon to get feet done, what to bring back stage and how to store it, what I need to work on with my posing and soooo much more. I was disappointed with my placing (there were only four of us in my class) because I came in fourth place; but my husband helped me keep it in perspective. He made me remember that my target show was still 5 weeks away (at the time) and that I wasn't ready. And I wasn't; my legs weren't in yet. I am still working on them but they have changed already in 1 weeks time! I am now officially four weeks out and my diet has changed and I have my new 3 weeks of workouts. I can't believe how close it is! Of course a new problem has risen. My coach is concerned that my suit being made is too bright. I went and changed the color of the suit because of the last show. I loved that color and decided to change my suit to match it. However, because the last show was outside she is concerend that the show in August (which is inside)will have much brighter stage lighting. We want the judges to focus on my body not the suit..but if we are stuck with the bright color, we'll just have to make it work
All in all it was a great experience and I learned a lot. Thank you all for all the support...keep your fingers crossed!

Hi! Congrats again - and best of everything for your August show! I am sure any color would look great on you - I thought a bright colored suit against dark skin was a good thing..?
