Success is sweat…. I mean sweet… well actually it’s both!!

GOAL ACCOMPLISHED!!! I have reached my first short term goal of 145 Lbs.!!! This was a huge chalange for me because I started at 132 Lbs. and never seen the scale go above 140 lbs.  I should of started with 140 Lbs. as my first goal but now none of that matters cause sweat never tasted so sweet and I can offically say I weight "atlest" 145 Lbs. on any given day.  My next goal is 150 Lbs. and that is going to be an exciting day.  Small goal accomplishments are the key to staying motovated and achiving a much larger goal in the long run.  I’m slowing gaining on my Long term goal of 165 Lbs.  Well, I’ll see ya in the gym.

Motivation is in the Mirror

It’s been one month and I’ve been lifting my ass off.  Speaking of which I found out that it doesn’t look good when you and your buddies slowly climb out of a car complaining how much your ass hurts… People give you weird looks, so instead of trying to re-ensure everyone that the reason for the soreness is from Squats and Leg Presses, instead of "ass" we just use "glutes".  Anyways, after one month I’ve gained some serious shape and my strength has gone up 5 fold.  Leg press went from 100 lbs. mostly cause it was new to me and I didn’t want to hurt my self to now 500 lbs.  Again my weight is coming slowly mostly because I believe I’m not taking in enough calories but I am gaining weight, and I’m just getting started.

Restocked and ready to RAWK!!1

Hey Sunday I received my order that was placed on Friday, thats service, Thank your Bodybuilding.com!!!  Anyways, I now have a good pre and post work out shake that I think will work great.  Pre-workout is a double shot of NO-xplode with a 5g scoop of Creatine Monohydrate and my post work out drink is 10gs of creatine monohydrate and a couple of scoops of L-Glutamine with about 30gs of Dextrose.  Finally got a multi that I’ve herd good things about, Orange Triad, and I have a good amount of protein.  My gym session today was great I felt like I could lift all day even after pushing out a record 200lbs. on a sitting bench machine (Not sure how much weight the machine takes away but just stacking 2 45 plates on each side and then adding more just felt really good!!!)  I’m starting to get more compliments in the gym, mostly on my arms.  Tomorrow is Back and Tri’s and Im already pumped up.

3 Day stalemate

Ok so Saturday, Sunday and Today my morning weight has been the same which honestly I thought it was going to go down again due to not being able to follow a strict schedule like I do during the week.  Being stuck at the same weight really motivated me to exhaust my chest and biceps today at the gym.  Although I feel I could of worked my chest a little more, I was pressed for time, however my arms really got a good deep work out.  What really sucks is I’m running low on funds and I’m almost out of protein.  This is the biggest problem I seem to have, when ever I get into a good grove money becomes and issue and it pisses me off the money comes between me and my goals.  How do I justify spending money when I have 2 kids and a wife to support.  It just seems selfish.  But I can’t stop this time.  Not now, I have to figure something out, maybe I’ll just go down to the corner and show a little new leg muscle and see what happens.

CHEAT DAY!!!

Yeah, it’s Saturday and I’ve waaas eating pretty health, Protein shake for breakfast, can of crushed pineapples for after breakfast, big bag o Tyson’s Ready To Serve chicken breast (49g Protein per bag) but then…. I was dragged along shopping, something about it being necessary for the kids to have clothing or something.  After trudging around the mall for a couple of hours my stomach was all kinds of hungry  we finally make it back to the house and  I lost control.   I through 2 hot pockets in the microwave and was already wondering what I was going to eat after those.  After inhaling the hot pockets I sucked down a chocolate / vanilla Popsicle, still not satisfied I attacked the Family Bag of ruffle potato  chips with my French onion dip.  After a couple of heaping hand fulls of chips and dip I sneaked a rice crispy treat but my wife saw me and started laughing.  And I guzzeled down a can of Mt. Dew which was the first one I’ve had in over a week…. I think if gave me a buzz….  Any ways I had a slight drop in weight this morning nothing I’m concerned about because my overall progress is on the up and up.  Almost time for new progress pics.  Later everyone, ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND!!!!

Progress

Good morning!! So every day now for the since April 23th (not that it’s been a while) I’ve been sticking to a pretty solid schedule.  I have received advice trying to encourage me to wait until the end of a week to weight my self insted of doing it every day.  I understand this logic but I’m trying to keep an accurate record of my weight every day.  Now there is only 1 time of the day that I weight myself and record it as "Current weight" and is in the morning after I wake up and take care of what needs to be taken care of before I go to work.  This way I’m limiting the amount of water weight that can be easily added throught the day and the amount of food.  Now the pics I have that show me at 143.8 Lbs. that was taken in the evening after I had dinner and really I was just happy yo see the scale say something over 140 so I got excited.  So then when I stepped on the scale and it said 139.8 Lbs. I was kinda disapointed, BUT!!! ahah

 Today, after I fished with my morning business, I climbed on top of the scale and glared down at the digital loading screen as if I was trying to intimadate the scale into telling me what I wanted to hear.  As if crushing the scale under my feet was a form of tourture the scale finaly blurted out 142.2 Lbs. VICTORY IS MINE!!! Today this battle was won, however the war is far from over.

my short term goal is 145 Lbs. and I can smell it. 160 Lbs. is starting to come into view.

Curse 1 - mtschaefer - 0

After gaining some initial weight relatively fast I seemed to have hit a flat spot.  After reaching a peak in weight I went droped a couple of pounds, so to counter that I eat more and hit the weights more then weighted my self the next day to see how much I gained, but NO there was NO weight change.  So I said to myself, "Self, the Curse isn’t going to win this. It’s your body now start eating more and throw more weights around!!"  So after myself gave me a motovating speach I ate really well, worked out my legs really hard and even carbed up by eating half a deep dish pizza at night.  This morning the scale tells me I lost 0.8 Lbs. Almost a pound?? now that could of been all water weight because after 5:00pm I wasn’t pounding water like I do from 8:00am to 4:00pm. But still even if it IS water weight that still means I didn’t GAIN anything. 

Maybe I’m burning fat away and the muscle is just not replacing it as fast so I’m going to keep swinging because I’m not done with this Curse yet.

WTF over.

For the past 7 days things have been looking good as far as my gains were concerned.  But yesterday morning I weighed myself and I was 1.2 lbs lighter then 24 hours ago.  Feeling a little disappointed that days I had 4 protein shakes, a can of tuna, a power bar, and a Chicken and Rice w/ broccoli and cheese dinner.  Also I worked out Back and Triceps that day.  I felt really good and around 6:30pm or 7:00pm I weighed my self and I gained 3.4lbs.  2 hours later I weighed my self again and I lost 1.2 lbs. then when I woke up this morning BAM!! back down to the same exact weight I was yesterday morning. 

In other words in 24 hours I went from 140.4 to 143.8 (yay!) to 142.6 (Awww) to 140.4 (WTF!) 

 Today I got legs and maybe shoulders if I have enough time.  I’m going to hit my legs really hard and hopefully this provokes some weight gain.  I was 1.2lbs away from my short term goal of 145lbs.  Now I’m 4.6 lbs. away.  I guess I just have to work thta much harder in the gym.
