With the holidays here and all the good cooking, and great sweats, I find it harder and harder to keep the motivation….

Okay, I admitt: Training for this marathin is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. Trying to find time to run 40+ miles a week and cross training during the winter when the sun rises at 6am and sets at 5 (I work 730 to 430) when I am I supposed t run? I need to practice outside as I will be running the marathon outside.

And then trying to rotate in extra carbs, yet trying to drop weight, is tough. My body and I are definately not agreeing on anything. Nonetheless, drop me a comment for support, and I’ll return th favor

Uh huh, oh yeah, uh huh uh huh uh huh! So alicia took 3 days off..Thurs, Fri (for vegas Mr.Olympia, besides walking around all day in 4 inch heels, WHICH IS a workout in itself!) and sat, since i had to catch up on my sleep. Thurs I ate clean, Fri and Sat I ate whatever I wanted. Today, back to eating clean- just went for an hour interval run, am eating something and am headed to the gym for legs!

I will be rolling out eating every 2 hrs this week,as of today, and am very excited to see if this will improve getting me lean! One carb meal, which will be oatmeal or protein pancakes at about 8 am. Which means I will need to eat no more than 200 carbs per meal for a total of 1800cals a day..I still feel this is a little high, but the same as I was doign with 6 meals at 300 cals. I’ll see how much I can trim out each meal, since I would like to eat protein and a veggie or fruit for eat meal, unless i have a protein drink. Ideal would be 1200 cals a day, therefore i wil play around to see what can be accomplished. I have low blood sugar and will need to watch my cal intake so I don’t get too low. (I would hate to pass out somewhere)

I say- GO GET ‘EM TIGER!

It was extremely loud, so who didn’t look to see what had happened—I heard laughter and a gentleman came over to help me really lock it in this time…i didn’t laugh at myself right away, but within a few seconds I had to stop crunching to laugh- only me, right?

I always remember being "it" because I would always have to use the restroom (nerves I assume) and would just "count while I was in there"– anyways, tonight when I went for a brisk walk at 830, I was reminded of those good ‘ol days! And the more I thought about it, the more I realized- dammit! My body is playing hide-n-seek with me!

I have some muscles–they maybe hidden, but I will "seek" them! I am really focusing on leaning up. I am happy with the shape my body is going, it just needs to be guided. So with a little more cardio, I am hoping I will see it lean out. I will post a comment at the end of the week to this post to show the results.

Okay I need a quick rant—-I feel like shit. I’m irratable, crabby, thirtsy, sad, happy, and discouraged. I think that sums it up. Now this could be the fact that I have been going non-stop this week; it could be my lack of sleep; it could be that my body is tired. Whatever it is, It needs to go away. Me and the camera have not been good friends this week. My stomach is swelled and I am not sure why; I have eaten impeccably strict this week. Why is my body fighting me so hard right now?? I don’t feel like being dressed and I don’t feel like doing anything( besides hitting the gym). Oh and I need better time management.

I must say it took a second and third thought not to eat food that I shouldn’t- We had 2 major events at work, and I resisted potatoe salad, cookies, bread, ranch dressing, baked beans, and the infamous coldstones(ice cram shop that has different flavors and you can add in whatever you want- my norm: vanilla bean medium size, peanut butter, roasted almonds, chocolate syrup, and a brownie).

Another thing, I’ve been wanting to go to Barcelona Spain for 2 yrs now, and then I thought, hmmmmmmm, they have a marathon there. So I got the informationa bout the roundtrip costs and plans, and I am really considering it.

Tonight, I will be camping in LA and then tailgating for the day tomorrow…..no alcohol, and I’m bringing my own food

Oh and lastly, Alicia has a huge work event taking place in exactly one week—-it’s a bash at my managers house. Outfit is decided, BUT, my stomach needs a little work. I’ll be going solo, but I guess it will be better since I am "the planner" .

*all this was to get it out. Some people have asked how I am so happy all the time—-here is a prime example that, today, Alicia is pissy. But now that I have gotten it out, I have decided to be in a better mood. Off to work I go…hi ho hi ho hi ho…..

Train hard and stay strong!!

My eating has been good, and I have noticed that I am hungry all the time (not an exaggeration). Does this mean my metabolism is doing well- finally?

I do need to switch my weight lifting routine within the next week, and continue to stay motivated.

Look out for a new progress pic this weekend!

First I want to thank everyone who responded on my blog last night about motivation. I appreciate your responses and will find motivation within.

Today, I really made an effort to eat clean and every 3 hours. It wasn’t that tough, but then again this is just day 1. Some of my challenges are yet to come, seeing how I work in an office, where at least one person offers to take me out to lunch. And then there are those dates that really revolve around dinner. So, I decided that I would create a good foundation. I would prepare all meals the night before, so I can honestly say " I brought my lunch" . This will also help by not creating any excuse of "oh I didn’t have time to make lunch" , or "just today" , or any other excuse I can possibly come up with and convince myself to believe. Oh and the candy jar that sits on my desk, is now 5 feet away, out of sight. I must guard myself from the junk food-lol.

I have done a lot of research of body building food intake, and it doesn’t really seem to be that bad….besides the broccoli and eggs in one day….and understand that without eating well, my workouts will not provide the results I need. Everytime I get started on eating clean, I always get caught up in that "oh, I’ll just have one" scenario. Time to adapt new thinking-food is fuel. And I have to make this thought stick…That way I don’t over indulge.

Anybody have any other good recipies? Eating the same thing over and over? Thanks.

P.S. I’m cooking for one.

I completely lack it. I want a great body, but just don’t have the motivation. However, after looking at multiple magazines today at Vons, which by-the-way, I checked every ailse, and they don’t sell motivation, I decided it’s time to kick this up a notch. I look at these men and women in these magazines, and think to myself- hey, I can do it too. What is the main thing holding me back? The fact that it takes a lot of work. And yet I can put in a lot of work at my current job to get that promotion, but I can’t put it in my body? Time to re-evaluate. If anybody has some motivational words that worked for you…please post!
