Food as Fuel
First I want to thank everyone who responded on my blog last night about motivation. I appreciate your responses and will find motivation within.
Today, I really made an effort to eat clean and every 3 hours. It wasn’t that tough, but then again this is just day 1. Some of my challenges are yet to come, seeing how I work in an office, where at least one person offers to take me out to lunch. And then there are those dates that really revolve around dinner. So, I decided that I would create a good foundation. I would prepare all meals the night before, so I can honestly say " I brought my lunch" . This will also help by not creating any excuse of "oh I didn’t have time to make lunch" , or "just today" , or any other excuse I can possibly come up with and convince myself to believe. Oh and the candy jar that sits on my desk, is now 5 feet away, out of sight. I must guard myself from the junk food-lol.
I have done a lot of research of body building food intake, and it doesn’t really seem to be that bad….besides the broccoli and eggs in one day….and understand that without eating well, my workouts will not provide the results I need. Everytime I get started on eating clean, I always get caught up in that "oh, I’ll just have one" scenario. Time to adapt new thinking-food is fuel. And I have to make this thought stick…That way I don’t over indulge.
Anybody have any other good recipies? Eating the same thing over and over? Thanks.
P.S. I’m cooking for one.

There are a hundred recipes that you can make that are not only fat-free, but taste good as well. There are plenty on this site, and if you do a Google search, you should be able to find enough recipes to keep you percolating for a long time to come.
Good luck on eating clean. Remember, it only takes 21 days to make a habit "stick".

Hey girl good to see your interested in clean eating me too. Im no expert but i started too its hard to find recipes low in fat and give us all the nutrions that we need, I eat about 6 times a day aswell. 3 meals and 3 snacks alot of fruits it fills me up and gives me energy
basicaly cutting out anything greasy is the best thing to do. when eating meals no extras like no chips with sandwich no mayo on sandwich, alot of salads no dressing or very little fat free. this has worked for me i was 170 lb and down to 150 lb and i feel so much better but i want more… keep up the hard work and it will defitnitly pay off.

Have you seen Clean Eating magazine? It only comes out every quarter but has some great recipes. They are easy to adapt and still allow you to feel like you are indulging even though you really aren’t.
