Which should I belive!?

Back at the end of March I used calipers to determine body fat, ok  29.4%.  I accepted it and that is what my "electronic determiner" or "ED" that is what I call it said as well.  All well and good, I continue using the "ED" for the measurement, after two weeks is said 29.2%!  Oh Good! Everything is going to be falling into place (or droping off!).  Yesterday I tried it again and it said 30% hmmmm.   Out of curiosity I measured myself with the calipers again today…  Now this thing says 25.6%!?   Which one in right? Or are they even accurate to begin with?  I would like to belive that "ED" is suffering from severe electronic disfuntion (haha) it makes me feel really good that in 20 days I lost 3.8% or 7.5 lbs, but I don’t belive it!   Can you lose 3/8 of a pound of Body Fat in a day? And keep doing it for 20 days straight without Really trying?!!  I have not watched my diet that well(I had 36 oz of beer and appetizers from applebee’s just this last Tuesday!) So Is it all BUNK.   I’m not getting my hopes up, not from this…   Now the fact that I can lift more weight sure.

Hmmm, I thought the calipers were accurate. Doesn’t sound like they are. Can you try a different one?

In theory, calipers are supposed to be the most accurate way to measure bf% (other than a hydrostatic tank). They can be tricky to use though, and sometime, inexperienced people will used then incorrectly.

Measuring with an electric current is notoriously inaccurate as there are lots of things that can throw the readings off.
