Which should I belive!?

April 18, 2009

Back at the end of March I used calipers to determine body fat, ok  29.4%.  I accepted it and that is what my "electronic determiner" or "ED" that is what I call it said as well.  All well and good, I continue using the "ED" for the measurement, after two weeks is said 29.2%!  Oh Good! Everything is going to be falling into place (or droping off!).  Yesterday I tried it again and it said 30% hmmmm.   Out of curiosity I measured myself with the calipers again today…  Now this thing says 25.6%!?   Which one in right? Or are they even accurate to begin with?  I would like to belive that "ED" is suffering from severe electronic disfuntion (haha) it makes me feel really good that in 20 days I lost 3.8% or 7.5 lbs, but I don’t belive it!   Can you lose 3/8 of a pound of Body Fat in a day? And keep doing it for 20 days straight without Really trying?!!  I have not watched my diet that well(I had 36 oz of beer and appetizers from applebee’s just this last Tuesday!) So Is it all BUNK.   I’m not getting my hopes up, not from this…   Now the fact that I can lift more weight sure.

After years of complaining…

April 7, 2009

Yes there is pain.   But even so if it takes a little extra pain now, to eliminate some later isn’t it worth it…  For a long time I insisted "NO!"  Gradually that answer changed to No!, No., no, no?  um maybe….  So that’s where I was Last year when my "Intentions" started to change, I took "before" pictures figured out what I was going to do, but, I had not yet gotten to the right answer "YES!"  Thankfully that part of the process only took me a year to go from maybe to yes, and not the seven years I immobilized myself with the resounding No echoing in my head each morning I awoke to stiffness and pain.  So now I get up each day to soreness but each day I know what I have to do, and DO IT!
