Hmmm… (Day 2 of Work-Related Captivity)

Well, I’m on the road to regaining my size and strength. Muscle memory has NOT kicked in, and I’m struggling with weights that I normally would have laughed at. It’s very disheartening to say the least. But, those are the breaks… I’ve been caged up at a desk listening to morons answer every question but the one I ask them. (It’s my turn to man the Nursing Station, pass out diabetic supplies, and chart on them) I’m in a tiny little 10×6 room, and for the next week this is my existence. Our clinic is in the basement, so there is no window to look out, I couldn’t even guesse what the weather outside is. (It was snowy the last time I saw outside at 0730 this morning)

Lunch was an exercise in futility… The line would have ensured I got my food just in time for me to return to my cell/desk… So, I went to the "Grab and Go" and had "Mystery Burger" (Real healthy huh? *L*) and a protein shake… We’ve started "Eating Clean", the "Coach/Torture Master/ Dear Sweet Wife" has purchased Tosca Reno’s Eat Clean Diet, Workout, and Cookbooks. She has also picked up the Eating Clean magazine… (Can you tell her 20 year class reunion is this year? *L*) I could kill for a slice of pizza!!!

Perhaps after a "Leg" workout I can settle down and kill many gladiators on my PlayStation (PS2 Colloseum: The Road to Freedom… Violence galore!!!) Sorry I’m not my usual upbeat self today, but confinement has gotten to me…

Man I would freak if I was trapped in a place without a window!

Hang in there. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I enjoyed Renos books. I think she is a little stricter than I but overall a good read and great concepts. I have also enjoyed several of the recipes.
