Legs… (Walking Like Golum)

Ah… Another glorious leg day… (I love legs about as much as a root canal, but anyhow). You ever get done with you’re planned workout, and feel like you’ve still got a lot left in the tank afterwards? Well, last night I had just that very thing occur. So, what did I do? Well, in one of my more gung-ho moments I decided to do one last set of leg extensions. You know, just one more teeny-tiny set. A set of 100 reps… Uhm… Let’s just say that we’re a little sore today… Yeah… You know the kind of sore that makes you walk like Golum, from "Lord of the Rings"… I actually had a co-worker say, "The hobbits went that way…" Everybody’s a comedian when you’re sore… *L* Anyhow, the workout went like this:

Legs:

Leg extensions: 1 warm up set of 25, followed by 5 sets of 15

Leg press: 5 sets of 15

Squats: 5 sets of 15

Lying hamstring curls: 5 sets of 15

Standing calf machine: 5 sets of 15 (stack for last set)

Then my "genius" idea of leg extensions: 1 set of 100

Abs:

Crunch: 3 sets of 30

Leg raises: 3 sets of 30

I did remember to bring my Anator with me, and I immediately gulped that down, followed by some nitro-tech. Ate a good dinner about an hour later, went to bed, woke up, and was "Looking for the stupid hobbits’s that stoles our Precious!!!"

First, say hello to Froto for me, okay? I’m a huge fan….I’m not usually walking funny the day after legs: for me, it’s usually right after working out that leaves me walking like the, "Bring out your dead" guy on Monty Python’s, the Holy Grail…..And for no reason in particular, have you seen "our precious," lately? Just curious…and maybe going through some DT’s since I lost it.

I must join in on this because i definetly have to funny walk the next day. My ym at school is up stairs by two flights so walking down after leg day is always a challenge the other day i held the rails on both sides so i didnt face plant. Although the pain and walk are not the best parts i love the leg pump you get after a hard set of squats or expensions. That pump makes ya drive a little harder every set.

What you should do immediately after the workout is try to walk down some steps - lot’s of fun.
