Bringing Sexy Back (22 May 2009)

Today, I found myself interesting, because when I was in the office, I just think about working out, but after I left the office, I just want to sleep.  Today, I managed to drag my lazy self to the gym, and did a 45 minutes cardio.  It wasn’t fun, but thank for the gift of music, I managed to pull through the workout.  I’ve been thinking of jogging outside, I just need to find a way to find a path around the neighborhood.

I’m tired of eating oatmeal, therefore, I’ve switched to Kashi cereals, and suprisingly they are tasty.  Each morning, I just pour myself a bowl and non fat milk.
Hopefully, tomorrow workout will be better then today.

Although, I haven’t weight myself lately, but I know I’ve been gaining weight, all my pants are tight around the waist.  I guess that is the price I paid for slacking and not being careful about my foods selection.  I thought by the end of May 2009, I would have made an excellent progress, but it was the opposite.

I’ve been thinking of purchasing the Nike+ products, toys to make workout a bit more interesting and fun.  Yesterday, I purchased a few adiddas shorts, they looks good, and they were onsale.  I need some muscle t-shirt to go with those shorts.  "I’m bringing Sexy back"
My goal is to get back on track, and be consistent in my workout, and to choose my foods wisely.  Winner don’t quit!

I’ve been eating healthy, limiting a lot of fat, sugar and consuming a lot of whole grains, fruits and veggies.  But I do not see the result I wish to see, in fact I saw the opposite.  It’s good that I caught this error before it get out of hand, and snowballing.  I’ve been skipping cardio, eliminating cardio from my training program.  OOPS!  Today, I did 45 minutes on the treadmill–it was a start.  Tomorrow is weight training.  Sunday, I’ll return working out on the Elliptical machine.  I am also planning on cutting back on energy drink but continue to take multivitamins and fish oil.  Back to basic.

Chicken, Rice and Veggies, Yumm……Not!  Tonight, I’ll have a salad, with some chicken before heading to bed.  For breakfast, I’ll have lean turkey sausage, and toasted whole bread, maybe one whole eggs and two eggs white.  Lunch will be a salad with fish fillet or grilled chicken.  The menu is not so exciting, but oh well, hopefully like CT aka ChickeTuna said "boring foods for an exciting body".  Tomorrow, I’ll be jogging on the treadmill with my headphone on.  That’s the plan for tomorrow.

2 months left before vacation…2 months to bring the be in the best shape =)

While driving to the grocery store I was thinking about my future, placing myself in 10 years from today.  I was thinking about my health, my relationship with others, my work, and all other importance areas of my life.  It was scary to think ahead of time, 10 years is a big chunk of time, but it will come.  I have been stressing out and sweating on small stuffs in my life, and fail to appreciate each days as it is.  I am grateful for that I still have my health, my youth, my family and my friends.  I just want to say to Him "Thank You!".

The Body I Deserve (21 March 2009)

Four hours before the workout, I consumed 2 whole eggs, 1 egg white, with two and one half toasted mini whole wheat bagel, lean turkey sausage and a glass of orange juice.  Around 9:30-10, consumed 25 grams of proteins mixed with milk.  At 10:00 consumed Green Magnitude and around 10:30 2 scoops of Whiteflood.

Today exercise routines:  WarmUp the Rotator Cuff, Bench Press, Incline Bench Press, Shoulder Press, then Legs Extension, Legs Curl.  Good stuffs, but when I did the Clean Press (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxlgPsIBWSk)  15 reps, I nearly fainted, I felt I was out of breath and I started to lost senses.    Then I had doubt about my trainer, “Does he knows what he’s doing?”.  My previous trainer had a new job, and I have no choice but to pick a trainer to train with for the remaining sessions.  I’ve been having doubt about my new trainer.   Why? I guess because he wasn’t built and bulky as the other trainer.  Therefore, at time he talked about his experience as a bodybuilder and his training all these years, I don’t listen, I blocked it out.

But today, I‘ve realized how wrong I am, and that I’ve make a major mistake of not listening.  While resting, my trainer spoke of importance of eating properly, explain about complex and simple carbs.  He does knows what he is talking about!  He got me a book on nutrition, and reading materials to read.  While I was resting, he went and got me a Gatorade drink.  The combination of both resting and drinking allow me to complete all the exercises.

I’ve learned that I shouldn’t judge, instead I should be open minded, different trainer had different methods of training and they all will benefit me.  I should listen more because I could miss something that my trainer say that could improve my training.  2 months and 10 days left to strengthening my mind and body!

The Body I Deserve (19 March 2009)

At the moment, the body is looking "okay" but not as defined and toned as before.  I’ve resumed training, and yesterday, I went and purchase some beefs and veggies, it’s time to get back on track and start eating healthy.
Summer is around the corner and I have booked ticket to a resort with friends.  The time I’ll be in the resort would also be the time that mark my two years of training and I plan to take great photos =) I don’t expect a sudden change like most of these good looking bodyspaces friends yet, but at minimum I have to look better then when I first start training.

2 months and 11 days count down! how exciting. i’m just going to pretend it’s Photoshoot time or competition time hehehe :)

Finally, I was able to take charge of my health again.  I’ve been off not exercising for nearly two weeks due to a bad cold.  My short term goal is to get back on track, back on exercising daily, and to eat healthier from now till the end of March 2009.  I want to take progress picture again.  I want to feel strong again.  I want to feel confident about myself again.

Today, I had an opportunity to train with Bruce, he’s my new personal trainer.  My previous trainer had an opportunity to pursuit a new career, and I do wish him the best.  He was great, I’ve learned a lot from him.

I do noticed the different between two trainers, I have the same doubt about my new trainer as I did with my previous one.  New trainer, new style of training methods.  Today, he measured my bodyfat, and my weight, and take a few others measurement and documented them.  We also established my max reps on bench press, which is not that much.  I was asked to write down about my goals, which is 1)Strenth Training, Building Mass 2)Learning to exercise correctly without hurting myself 3) Flexibility.  We did one of the core exercise today, and it was hard, my balance suck for now.

I was sweating and tired after the training, but I am running out of training sessions, so I got to pull myself together and learn as much from him as I can.  I got to tell myself to shutup, and listen, because sometime I hear myself more then I hear my trainer.

I’ve been consuming a lot of carbs mostly brown rice and bagel with the hope to gain a bit of mass.  By next week, I will start back on eating chicken breast, I’ve stopped for a couple weeks, because I can’t stand the sign of chicken breast anymore.  Instead of eating chicken breast, I eat beefs and salmons, which are all healthy.  One things I am not proud of myself is I’ve stopped eating fruits and veggies, but I’ll fix that.  I’ve been consuming alot of coffee more then water, boo hoo!
My training has been so-so, just weight training then I’ll do cardio either on the elliptical machine or on the treadmill.  I’ve been feeling tired lately, exhausted, and I feel my strengh dropped alot…blah!
I need to get back in year, because I want to take great pictures.
