The Body I Deserve (September 30 2008)
These past few days, I did my best in controlling my portions, and avoid certain foods when eating out with friends. "He’s on a diet", I heard that a lot, and now I just smiled without saying much. I just realized my friend who is at the age of 30 diagnosed with diabetes. 30 is such a young age to be diagnosed with anything. He is a close friend of mine, and I told him we can jog together if he likes, but I haven’t heard back from him. He loves those (thai iced-tea) and always has two when we eat out. Last time, he asked if I noticed he is losing weight, and he looks the same to me, if not bigger then before. Am afraid if I say "Yes", then he will think he’s on the right track…He is getting to where I used to be—Obese.
At Thai restaurant, these were my choices last time I went out with friends: 3 glasses of Water over Thai Iced-Tea, About two spoons of Rice, A lot of Veggies, A lot of Fish, One piece of Fried Calamari (it’s really small), Beefs and all the decoration veggies (tomatoes, cucumbers, salad).
At the Korean bakery, 1 cup of coffee and one bag of Splenda, while my friends had three scoops of ice-creams with chocolate syrups and whip-cream.
My friends decided to eat out again this Friday, because they want to try out a new restaurant in town. The old and obese Quang would be jumping up and down with joy, but the new fit Quang rather have the body that he deserves, and he chooses muscles, and nutritional foods to fuel his body. I’m one day closer to achieving the body that I deserve. Reaching two years, and going STRONG…pain is temporary quitting last foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
