The Body I Deserve (April 30 2008)

I woke up at 5:30am this morning, but instead of going to the gym, I decided to sleep in and taking a break from the gym.  However, afraid that I might change my mind at the end of the day, I did pack gym clothes with me to work.  Yup, I went to the gym, and did cardio, 30 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes on the treadmill…purely cardio today.  I think I like it better this way, a day destinate for cardio only.  I think I’m scaring people next to me on the elliptical machine, because I was going crazy like wanting to break the machine with my speed and high in resistance and I was talking to myself…I would say, "Let melt some ice-cream" or, "Are you ready, let go Quang" stuffs like that.  On the treadmill, i would said "Come on Quang, you got to move move move".  And when I’m exhausted or bored, I would lip sync along with songs on my Ipod, and I move my hands like I’m dancing.  I’ve been doing these craziness movement for about a week now, it helps me through those time where pushing myself is a must.   My co-worker told me sometime he heard noises, but he doesn’t know where it came from, and I told him…IT’S ME! haha After the cardio session, i did abs work, but i only do a few reps, I was tired. Oh well, that is it for today…yawnnn

double cardio earns a double posting ;)

I did another 30 minutes HITT on the treadmill, exhausted, burnt about 320 calories, but the guy next to me burnt 421 calories. How?  I asked him, if it is the program he is using, and he said he using Manual mode. Me too!  He said he’s using three different speeds 4/5, then 6 and 7.  Me Too!  I do mine incline 2.5 to 3, then 5.5/6.0/7.5 and last I rush out with an 8.  It seem like he still have a lot of energy afterward, while was out of breath.  What is the missing link here?   Also, by using a heart rate monitor I maxed out at 93%, and stay between 70-75% through out the workout.

My legs need to be train, they’re not listening to me, when I told them to move, they’re moving at a slow speed.

Mother’s day is coming, I thought of getting mom a gift…I want to buy her something nice, but while driving home today, I thought of what better gift then a gym membership.  It would definitely help her look better and feel better about herself.

I woke up with all the allergy symptoms, the thought of just snoozed in for another hours or so did come across my mind.  But then I realized I would be mad at myself for not dedicating the first hour of the day to me.  I did biceps and back, then did a 3 miles with the cardio program, it was hard.  I feel like my mind wants to move, but my legs are not moving fast enough or wanting to move at all.  3 miles for 30 minutes, heart-rate max out at 93%.   

I did my best today.  I workout because I want to become healthier, leaner each day, and to be proud that I did have the personal power to take action in achieving the goal I set for myself.  I realized that I can’t change the world, or others, but I can change myself.

I am one day closer to getting The Body That I Deserve.

The Body I Deserve (April 25 2008)

For today, I decided to switch back to SuperPump for pre-workout instead of Whiteflood, I’ve been taking.  SuperPump provides a great source of energy for me, and a lot of focus and veins popping.  After free weight, I decided to hit the treadmill 30 minutes, I used to be afraid that I would lose all my muscles, but I’ve been talking and reviewing other profiles and seem cardio is a must.

I noticed there exits a lot of supplements out there, and they all promised great things, but I decided to stick to the basic stack (PreWorkout, Creatine, Multivitamin, Melatonin).  I decided to remove BCAA and fat burner out of my supplement stack.  I tried a bottle of Lipo and got nothing out of it, so no fat burner for me…for now.  What the point of fat burner?  If I keep doing cardio and eating right, the body has no choice but to be lean.  I’m not going to chase time, and try to speed up the process by taking a bunch of supplement, because I know that i still have plenty years ahead to workout.

The Body I Deserve (April 19 2008)

Lately, I’ve noticed that I get hungry at night around 9ish-10ish.  I think it was Ms.Fitness’s blog that I’ve read that she would eat two table spoons of Peanut butter if she feels the hunger.  I’ve tried that technique, it works, but when I see a bag of chip on the counter I just dived in or I would just eat instant noodle (Carb and MSG) at night.  Before, I would have few scoops of Cottage Cheese and Protein shakes. Wait a minute, I should start doing that again, if I have those items in the refrigerator I would not head over for junk foods.

I went to the mall today, decided to pick up some new clothes that would fit me better then my current baggy clothes.  It feels good to put on a polo shirt without seeing stomach fat sticking out.  I still have stomatch fat, but it wasn’t visible like how it used to be…I will never go back to that state again.

Lastly, I have to remind myself that the Choir Pinic is coming up in May, and I have to look good on that day.  I have amazed my friends, now I have to amazed choir members hahaha ;)

I am not sure if it’s the Melatonin supplement I’ve been taking that provide me with such a goodnight sleep, but I’ve been getting up feeling more rested then ever before.  Today, I thought of not using supplement (Whiteflood) and just doing it bare in the gym, but I am afraid I wouldn’t have the energy and the endurance.  I worked on legs today, and did 30 minutes of cardio.  Lately, I have noticed that my waist line is gettiing smaller and I do feel a bit lean, which is good.  I almost finished the Lipo6, not sure if I want to do another fat burner, I don’t see much result, and I started to feel it’s a waste of money. 

I have a new short term goal, which will be on May 25, it’s my choir out door pinic party, and I know I’ll be wearing sleeves less shirt with short, therefore, I need to get much defintion as I possibly can.  It’s an oppertunity to show off what I’ve been working on.  I want defintions on legs, and defintions on biceps and triceps and a little back if possible heheh…ooh…and I’m going to show of my tatoo too! hehehehe yup yup. 

I’m going to reject all dinner invitations.  Eat lean/ Do cardio and Weight training to achieve this short term goal…it’s going to hit me quick.  I’ve been working hard, and I am not going to let this oppertunity passed by.

The Body I Deserve (April 14 2008)

Instead of going to the gym in the morning, I decided to try the P90x workout program.  Today, I picked the Stretching program, because I feel it could help me strengthen my lower  back.  The program is one hour long, but I did only 30 minutes of it, it felt good, but it hurts.  I guess the reason I experienced a bit of pain because I’m not flexible, but within a few more weeks, I should feel better.  Late in the afternoon, I hit the gym with one scoop and 1/2 of WhiteFlood and workout on Tri/Chest and abs with 15 minutes of cardio.

Yesterday, I went to a wedding reception, and I shocked almost everyone.  I received a lot of positive comments on my new look, fit.  I also received a lot of questions, but I laughed it off, didn’t feel like answering because I know how it always go.  One of my friend stated that he will start working out again, and he ensured everyone at the table know how much he weighted at the moment, 145lbs.  I remembered what ChickenTuna and others said, that you can work your butt off but if you don’t eat right, then all your work go wasted.  I wish he knows that.  CT was right, the number on the scale doesn’t said much on how you look.  I realized that I am almost 145lbs, but I look toned and fit then he is.
I am amazed to see how quickly the body changes, those who I think was fit, was no longer fit.  Sure they’re still skinny, but almost all of them got the underarm flab, gross and some you can tell that the fat going directly to their face and thier abs.

I look at them and realized that I must take action to avoid the gross look at all cost.  That mean, I must devoted time for myself, time to get fit, and make fitness a part of my life, eating right is a must.

I’m one day getting closer to getting The Body That I Deserve!

Melatonin made by ON is an awesome product, I took it before bed time, and I’ve been sleeping well, feeling rested the next morning. Yesterday, I got home a bit late, and ate some spaghetti (Yike), I know it’s a bad idea to consume carb late at night, but I couldn’t resist the temptation of yummy spaghetti mom just make.

Today, I work on calves, 3×8 (140lbs) then reduced the weight, I was trying to do superset as described in this month Men’s Fitness magazine, I need to read the article again. I did Legs curl, then moved over for Legs extension, it burned burned…blah. I tried to do some workouts from the Beach Body Plan, and don’t feel right, I’ll bring the whole magazine to the gym next time. :) At the end I did 15 minutes on the treadmill to stay lean.

I need a full body massage, on legs, and lower back… :)

The Body I Deserve (April 10 2008)

I completed 2.5 miles within 30 minutes, Heart-rate was in 80-90%.  I was exhausted, because after receiving a certificate for 300 miles, I stop doing cardio session.  But I’ve decided to have cardio within my workout, and I decided to make one day just for cardio and abs works.  I increased the weight by .5lbs when doing cable crunches for midsection and for oblique, and I felt it.  Then I busted over and use the lower abs machine, and kill some more repetitions.  

I think I’m beginning to see more changes on my body, I lifted up my shirt after the workout and start seeing cuts on abs and a few mark here and there on chest.  It felt good. 

I am going to a friend wedding this Saturday, and it’s one of my short-term goal to look fit on this day.  I’m glad that I’ve been working out consistence, it’s truly in consistency that my body adapts and change. 

The weather is  getting nicer each days, time for me to go out and start jogging, which I’ve been doing in the past.  Now I know come to understand why people bulk during winter and shred in summer. J

The Body I Deserve (April 09 2008)

Sitting here at work eating toasted whole wheat bread and peanut butter, while downing protein+creatine+extra 2 capsules BCAA, followed by Multivitamin.  WOW, that how I start my day at work ;) I’m grateful.

Worked on Biceps/Calves/Back and Abs, then I noticed it was time to shower.  Whiteflood been doing well, today, I did 1 and 1/2 scoops and the energy hit me in about 10 minutes.  One thing I noticed that WhiteFlood doesn’t gives me that veinie (is it a word?) popping out look on my arm as vice versa to SP250. 

Yesterday, one of my friend, who I’ve not seen for awhile commented on my transformation :)  YAY! it felt good.  Then she asked me how does she looks.  Crap, reverse question style! I hate to answer this question. I said, "I haven’t seen you for awhile, but I still able to recognize you.  Is that a good answer? lol…

I’m one day closer to getting the body that I deserve :) YES!
