The Body I Deserve (Feb 24 2008)

Yesterday, my friend held a small dinner party/pot luck at her place, it was an opportunity to meet all of my old friends from high school through college.  Funny as it may seem, I noticed all conversation started out revolved around look.  I listened to all the conversations, all the what to eat and what not to eat, and ummm I can’t eat that, it’s fat, and I’m trying to lose weight (speech during dinner).  I was laughing inside, because to me it was like them saying not eating tonight meal, is going to help them shape their bodies.  They failed to understand that dieting along won’t help, there is no such thing as spot reduction, starving yourself doesn’t help you lose weight, and 30lbs of fat don’t just appeared on your body overnight.  I was asked about how I accomplished my goal like usual, but I didn’t said much, I just told them one part of the truth, because I feel they’re not going to do it, so why bother waste my time like all those previous time.  I love them, but I truly believe if you are truly committed then there are great resources out there for you like bb.com, there are wonderful people here who truly provide great support.  Like my good friend Tiff, who I met online, who provides great support to all of her friends and motivate her friends to reach their fitness goal–Thanks TIFF.  Out of all my old friends, I only find three that truly taking care of their body, and they do look good.

Today, I went to Giant (super market) got 10 bags of frozen vegetable (broccoli, corn, red bell pepper) at $1 dollar each, 3 tubes of Peanut Butter (low fat) for $5 dollars, 15 multi grains bread $3.50 dollars, Skim Milk (fat free), I was going to pick potatoes, but i forgot if it was a good source of Carb. Is it? Is it? I think it is.

    Aww… well Aren’t you just sweet :) I’m just doing what everyone should do.. and that is give support :)

    Potatoes and sweet potatoes are a great carb source!! :) Get ur butt back ther and pick them up! :)

    You are doing great!! I know what you mean about wasting your breath..been there many times but yet they still don’t make the changes you suggest.. it’s frustrating..but i guess some people can’t handle the hard grooling work of lifting weights and eating food?? lol ;)
