and two goals… seems I’m on a bit of a roll at the moment. The manager has moved me out onto the left wing and it seems to be working. Last weekend I scored a cracker with my left foot from the edge of the box, it hit the inside of the near post and went in. Theres quite a bit of satisfaction when you here the ball clip the post and then see the net bulge… I just love that feeling of scoring!!
This weekend I scored again, ok it was from a penalty but they all count, and they are even better when it’s against a rival team who we have played against for the last 3 seasons and it was a cup game so it’s all or nothing, win and your into the next round lose and you are going hoome… well we won, 4 - 1 after extra time. They scored in the first half against the run of play and put us on the back foot until we scored about 5 minutes before fulltime. It was still 1 - 1 when I was brought on with about 30 minutes left of normal time, we started to create a few more chances but then the game opened up once one of there players got sent off. This allowed us more time on the ball, our srtiker then scored an excellent volley on the turn from the right hand corner of the area about 5 minutes in the first half of extra time. We could see that the opposition were defeated but every chance after that would not hit the back of the net.
We continued to dominate in the second half of extra time and I had a couple of chances myself, one of those chances rebounded to another one of our players and as he turned in the box he was brought down. The captain nominated me to take the penalty as our normal taker had left the field. There was a long wait until the whistle blew and I had the opposition in my ear trying to put me off, I tried to block it out and I had already made my mind up on which corner I was going to put it. Once I had struck the ball I was the keeper diving the same way but I had it it too hard and too far into the corner and the keeper had no chance. 3 - 1!!
The last goal came from our right winger, who put in a really low good cross that beat the diving keeper and as our striker and their defender slid in, the ball hit the defender and he put it into his own net!! 4 - 1!!
It was a cracking game, agaisnt a team that we drew 2 - 2, they scored in the 93rd minute to draw and lost 1 - 0 too in the return league fisture, we had two goals disallowed in that game. So we owed them a beating and that just made winning even better…!!
Sorry if your not that interested in football but it was such a great game I just had to write it down!!

last night I could hardly move, my legs are still aching like a b*tch but they are getting better I was even able to give them a little stretch this monring so I am getting a little bit of movement back… Ok so the question is do I go play football tonight or do I just relax again and let my little ol’ legs rest… man I do love to play football, nothing better than kicking that little ball around and thinking it’s that person who annoyed me the most that day… at the moment it seems like it’s the same person all the time…
I have one member of staff and they have decided to get a mediator in to dicuss their issues, all because I decided to call her up on her sick leave and her previous managers never have… well I think it’s not unreasonable to bring up the issue of sick leave if in the last rolling year (15th October to 15th October) she has had around 56 days of sick… I didn’t even give her a formal warning, I just told her to be mindful of it in future as it is a bit much. But she don’t like it that…
I don’t know what she hopes to get out of this mediation thing because I’m only going to tell her the same thing but I’m also going to tell her that according to the staff handbook that now I have made her aware of the issue the next time I have to bring it I will make it more formal.
I tried to do it nicely and she didn’t like it so I’ll do it formally and see how see likes that!! Haha… she has it so easy at this place it’s a joke and I’m going to bring down a whole load of bircks…
But I must thank her though because it is her tht is making me hit the gym hard and play and train at football each week, it’s weird how these things work ain’t it? But I suppose it’s how we deal with the ups and downs that matters most really??
Sorry for vent and if you got this far… cheers for reading…

Sunday I played football, well I say I played football I was a substitute and was put on right at the end of the game so I amased an amazing 43 seconds of game time before the final whistle was blown. So I thought hey after work on monday I’ll go to the gym and do a leg work as I hadn’t really played on Sunday. Excellent that is until I woke up Tuesday morning and thought oh bugger! I’ve got football training tonight and my legs ache a little bit, oh I’m sure I’ll be fine but boy it’s now wednesday and I really regret it!
I’m walking downstairs sideways, I sound like an old man getting in and out of chairs, I’m struggling to walk around but I made it through training ok, so I’m pleased with that… hopefully my legs will be ok but saturday as I’ve got a game and again on sunday as well… won’t be making that mistake again. I’ll make sure I train my legs knowing I can rest them for a few days before football next time.
Anyways today I’m working my chest out a bit and try to stretch out my legs…

They are constantly on here and BB.com do nothing about it… you can easily tell they are fake accounts because they only have one picture or no picture, only write their advertising blogs, post 5 times then log off. I don’t care about IBM tests or microsoft tests, buying crappy wedding dresses, or buying Air jordans.
All I care about is reading about real people, with real concerns about their training or their life stories, you know the things that matter but it would seem that we can’t get to these people because the fake accounts are constantly blogging on here with their advertisements for selling stuff we really don’t care about!!
Sort it out BB.com!!

Everything starts on a monday, work, the gym. Some people look at a monday and get all down that they have another week of work to go but I don’t view it that way. It’s another start to my week of the gym, a good monday in the gym sets you up for the rest of the week and puts me in a positive mood.
But if I miss a monday gym session then that’s me down for the rest of the week, I feel guilty that I’ve missed it and I feel I’m playing catch up to the rest of my training. Do I drop a cardio session to do the missed weights or do I do the cardio and hit the weights to make up for the missed session or do I just have the tuesday off and hit the gym on the wednesday. So many conflicts all because I missed one session in the gym.
Well heres to a good monday session (well two sessions) I’m going to hit the gym at lunch time with a work buddy and then I’m going to do some cardio in the gym tonight, ease out the legs from the football (soccer) yesterday. Oh my team won 7 - 2, I played well and I was in the link up with a few of the goals but I had to go off with cramp 12 minutes from the end, damn the wedding on saturday and the 4 beers I had… didn’t drink enough water or eat enough in the morning!!
Lesson learnt.

Managed to get down the gym for before 9am, decided to work my back. worked hard and did about an hour, managed to up my weight on a couple of exercises which I’m really happy about and then did about half an hour on my abs. So training went well today…
now it’s the boring stuff, mowing the lawn, cutting back some bushes, just hope the sun stays out for a bit longer.
