Deadlifts again

Today was the first day that I deadlifted in about 3 months. Wow! I forgot how it drains you. I performed my squat routine and then moved on to the deadlift. I don’t remember being that out of breath or sweating that hard in a long, long time. I was surprised that I was able to keep up with my squat numbers on my first day back. In fact I got 275 x 4 on the deadlift. One thing that I have to remember is to wear pants on squat, deadlift day, because the bar tore my leg up. It scraped my leg on the first set, and then it was very hard to keep from doing it over and over again.

New Progress Photos

I have added some new progress photos again. I am still not that pleased, but must admit that I do see some change since my first set of photos. I think that I finally might be somewhat on the right track. I guess I still have to tweak my diet a bit more, which is still my real sticking point. I definately have bad diet days. Take yesterday for instance. I totally fell off the diet wagon Saturday night and yesterday. I drank quite a few beers on Saturday night, and yesterday I had two bad meals. I had an M&M Sundae yesterday. It was good. I guess you have to do it once and a while or you will go stir crazy.

All I have to say is holy cow! I have been taking No-Xplode for the last week or so, and I feel like I am going to come out of my skin. I take it as soon as I get up in the morning. I wait about 15 minutes and then eat something light (oatmeal with a scoop of peanut butter, etc). Then I am on my 20 min ride to the gym. All I can say is that I am glad my windows are tinted, because I have got to look like some kind of freak. I will be singing like a nut and just about ready to jump out of the car at times. I am like HA, HA, HA!! Then I get to the gym, do my workout and hit the treadmill, which is something I never did before. I am still loaded with energy after I get my shower and head to work. Imagine being stuck behind a desk when you are ready to take on the world. My legs go like a jackrabbit in heat.

 Other than that, my exercise have been going great. I have really been going strong lately. Along with the weights, I have been hitting the treadmill almost every night at like 9:30.  I just have so much on my mind lately, and seem to be going through a little bout of depression. The exercise seems like the only thing that is helping me.

It has been a while since I last wrote, so I figured I should type something. My workouts have been going great. I have never felt better about them. My diet still needs work though. A good friend from this board offered me some sound advice that I am trying to follow. I have raised my caloric intake a bit, but cannot seem to get by the junky foods. Normally I am the cook in the family, but my wife does do it once and a while. I am not complaining, but it seems like every time that she cooks, it is something that is really, really bad for you. Take last night for instance. I had to work late and then go to a clients for some more work, so I could not cook dinner. I got home and my wife had made chicken kiev from Schawns. These babies are loaded with nothing by fat. On top of this she made a pasta dish that also was loaded to the gills with fats. My meal consisted of at least 700 calories. As soon as I saw what we were eating, I told her that she knew I was trying to eat clean, but did not get much of a good response from her. The same thing will happen to me tonight. It is my wife’s birthday, and we are going to my parents for dinner. She wants pizza for her birthday meal. I guess I will try to eat one or two slices ans call it a dinner…..
