I’m just annoyed with myself

I could write a big long blog entry about how I have one week til my Half Marathon and how I have/had some goals for myself… weight/measurements, etc… that now that I spent about a month off track with my eating I won’t reach those goals by that deadline. I don’t want to write on and on about how I’m frustrated and annoyed because it’s negative and doesn’t help anyone out… me included.

I guess maybe I just need some encouragement, kind words, thoughts on what happens when a person had sabotaged themselves just a little and needs to set new goals, a new deadline and not feel so down and discouraged.

If you feel like you have thoughts that might help, I would be forever grateful!!!

Use that frustration to fuel renewed determination, as in "enough is enough!!". I got very lax Jan to Apr with my diet & added some pudge. I’ve now dropped about 5 lbs since early May, due to channelling that into a focus on diet, rather than my workouts (see today’s blog for progress).

There’s nothing for it. Dust off, stay positive & press on. We all go thru the ups & downs. Forget the setback……..WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?

Good luck. You can do it! :D

First of all, don’t think of it as sabotaging yourself - don’t make your own self your enemy, you need her! What were the reasons for getting off track? Were you training too hard, set your goals at an unrealistic level? Accept that you got off track and figure out what you’re body or mind is telling you. You can’t change what happened so look at this as a mini-vacation you gave yourself and now it’s time to get back to work. Good luck!
