Well, outdoor biking is officially over with for the year in Minnesota. That said, I am sure there will be a few occasions to get out there and ride in the snow, but I can’t count on it for regular exercise. I am switching my focus back to sunning and indoor cycling to correspond to my lifting routine. Since it is the off season for triathlon I will be focused on slow runs of at least an hour until March, then I will pick up speed in preparation of next year’s first race. Next year I plan on adding in an off-road triathlon to the mix. I am excited to race with my mountain bike! I may even pepper in a couple pure mountain bike races to see how I fare at that. At any rate, I got a 5 mile run in again last night. I will be lifting tonight, off for Thanksgiving tomorrow, then go for a run on Friday.
Happy Thanksgiving BodySpace!

Friday night I got a swim in and on Saturday I got a 10 mile mountian bike ride in. Holy cow was it muddy! Rested Sunday.

I ran 5. 5 miles that is. I will no longer complain about my ankle. It is now strong enough to run on. Just don’t ask me to point my toes just yet.

I am starting to feel like an athlete again. I decided to try to run last night after lifting. I did not run far, nor did I run fast, but I did go 1.5 miles or relatively pain free running and my ankle feels great today!

My ankle has healed enough for me to venture offroad. My buddy and I got in 7 miles of muddy single track in on Saturday and it was awesome! It feels good to be back. I am not 100%, but I am very close. The trick now will be to not overdo it!

The ladies knew…
As I progress through this transformation I am struck and shocked to find out how much back fat I had. Honestly, how would I have truly known? I discovered this because as the pounds have been dropping and my waistline getting smaller (38 to 34) I haven’t seen that dramatic of a difference in my abs. A few days ago I realised that what was happening to me was that my back had gotton much more narrow. Now I have to wonder what the ladies were thinking as I was walking away?

Well my tournament went very well. I had a great weekend and met some very cool people. Now I am back home and getting back into my routine. I am adjusting it by a day this week as I did not get home until late last night.

Well I will be out of town this weekend. Heading to Pheonix for a Haidong Gumdo test. I will be active, but I probably won’t have access or time for the gym, so I plan on just keeping the dinners under control and enjoying my busy weekend.

That Chicago tune is going through my head again… The ankle is strong enough for long rides on the bike. I got another hour in last night. I am going to go for a swim tonight. I plan on starting to run again after my Gumdo test next weekend. I have a wedding tomorrow so I am going to do my lifting tomorrow morning. I might reverse that plan, but I will make that decision after work…
