Training for the urbanathalon
I have a plan for the Mens Health Urbanathalon, tell me what you think.
Once a week I will replace my Saturday morning runs with this.
2 miles at the track at the high school
Up and down the stadium steps 4 times. (approx 1 1/2 flight per time)
2 miles on the track.
Then twenty-five 30 lb dumb bell shoulder presses.
1 mile around the track
10 each arm, plank rows with the 30 lb dumb bells.
4 times stadium steps.
I"ll increase the effort till I can complete the above in one hour, then as the weeks go by begin repeating the process until the total run is 12 miles in length and the flights of stairs increase accordingly
I’ll mix this up, adding pull ups, bear crawls, crunches, bicep curls, etc.
