Deviled Eggs

I came across this recipe for deviled eggs. Haven’t tried it yet…but will be since we will have 2 dz hardboiled eggs sitting around after Sunday.

Cut eggs in half, throw out the egg yolk (I’ll feed them to my dogs), fill with hummus and sprinkle with paprika.  This sounds simple enough and actually should taste pretty good.

never thoguth of using hummus! That would be so much easier than the typical mixing that has to be done. Alot less messy too! OOooooo Im gonna try this.
Yolks are left out because it cuts down the calories drastically as well as the carbs and fat.

it contains approximately 60 calories, three times the caloric content of the egg white.

One large egg (50 grams in weight, 17 gram yolk) contains approximately: 2.7g Protein, 210mg Cholesterol, .61g Carbohydrates, 4.51g Total Fat. (USDA National Nutrient Database)

The yolks are loaded with cholesterol and saturated fat. http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts/dairy-and-egg-products/113/2
