Eye Pain

I was doing my arm workout the other day and as I was doing the last curl for my right arm I had to really strain. As the weight just reached the top I suddenly got what felt like an "ice cream" headache behind my rigth eye.  It lingered through my whole workout and kind of ruined it.  My eye looked normal and after about 90 minutes it was totally gone.  But it was distrubing to say the least.  Has anyone ever exprienced this?

Saturday and I’m feeling like a complete bum.  I’ve spent my morning finishing an article to submit to the article section of this site.  It deals with how someone who stays active and takes care of themselves can also have high blood pressure.  Hopefully it is written well enough to get accepted.

In about an hour I’m going to take advantage of the warm day and go for a run, I just need to get motivated and off the couch!

ahhhh it is 6 degrees out right now.  We are only in our first week of February and already I’m pining for spring.  What is good is on the 14th there is the Easyrider Bike show in Columbus that is something to help forget about the winter. Then in March is the Arnold Sports Festival, also in Columbus.  I’ve never been to it but thinking since it is only 2 hours away I will go down and walk through the expo.  Of course in April is my first 1/2 marathon, hopefully it will be nice that day, I’ve ran it in 6 inches of snow before.  NOT FUN! An in May I’ll run another 1/2 at the Cleveland Rock and Roll marathon, by then the weather should be nice and this 6 degrees will be a distant memory!

So far this week is going good workout wise.  Really dying to do some cardio but so far have only got lifting and some toning in.  But good news; mid to high 40’s this weekend.  I will have to definitely get an outside run in.  Maybe 7 on Saturday if things go right.

This was a hard weekend to get my workout in.  Yesterday I got to the rec kind of late.  I walked with the wife for 2 miles then started my chest/back workout…and low and behold just as I’m getting started they announce that the rec center was closing.  So I got a 1/4 lift in.  On Sundays I go to a different rec center to run, they have a smaller track but the place is set up better.  The one close to my house has the basketball/volleyball/whatever courts surrounded by the track.  You have constant traffic crossing the track to get to the courts.  And a lot of times parents (who should be working out) are standing around on the track talking. 

Well I get to the other rec center and the track is closed!  So I finished my back and chest workout and just as I did the last set a friend of mine appeared (the same one that I worked out with on Friday) her and I then did 30 minutes on an elipitical.  Not as fun as running but the company was nice.
