Getting Easier

The last couple of days I’ve found that my cardio is getting easier for me to do.  What I mean by that is that I don’t sit there and countdown every second until it’s over.  I’ve actually been pushing myself to do more than normal.  Hope this continues so that I can enjoy doing cardio.  Still have a problem being motivated to get to the gym and workout, but once on the treadmill the time goes by faster!  Not seeing as quick of results as I wanted, but hanging in there.

Coming to terms

Well, after some personal issues I think I am beginning to realize that my weight, my appearance have a lot to do with the person I’ve become. For the last couple of years I have not wanted to hang out or go out or anything.  This is because of two reasons and one of them is the way I look.  If I go out I want to be able to look good, wear hot clothes, etc.  Not worry about who is talking across the room about the "big" girl.  This is causing a lot of problems for me so I need to get to the point where I feel good about myself. 

I finally got my fiance to take my measurements, so I’ll have another way to keep track of my progress.  We also took before pictures to track progress.  Stupid thing is I’m afraid to even put those up here i’m so embarrassed.  I will make myself do it though once I get them off my camera.  Thinking about hanging them on the mirror so I have to see them everyday.  Maybe that will motivate me.

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

Well, skipped the gym Tuesday because my boyfriend was not feeling good.  Went last night and added .5 mile and 2% incline.  Felt good afterwards.  We got our order of our supplements and so I started those today.  Think I might get discouraged about taking 20 million pills 10 times a day.  I don’t like taking pills to begin with, but have to keep motivated because I know it will help.

Welcome!

Well, here is to new beginnings.  I’m mostly using this for personal reasons to journal my actions and thoughts along the way.  I started by checking out articles on here about supplements, moved to weight/fat loss, from there I went to the motivational stories and now here I am setting up my bodyspace page and bodyblog.  My boyfriend and I decided after our summer of softball we would finally have time to go to the gym.  We pushed back our starting day by 2 weeks, but yesterday was our first day.  We are no strangers to the gym, been there before on a off and on basis.  Last year I got serious about working out and dieting for about 3 or 4 months, but then stopped and gained back the 25 pounds I had lost. I was thinking about doing the South Beach diet like last year because I really saw results, but then I keep reading and the clean eating so I figured I would give it a try since it can be something your keep up the rest of your life.  Right now trying to start eating 6 meals a day and healthy foods.  Lots of fruits and veggies along with meat occasional grains.
