But it so EASY FOR YOU!!

Why the hell does everyone always assume that because you are in shape that it comes "EASY" to me and you?Do they not have the foggiest idea of what it takes to achieve any sort of a fitness goal?The discipline and the planning that you have to do?I get peeved when people always tell me that.As they are devouring processed sugar ladened treats faster than a wood chopper!"It’s easy for you…you can eat whatever you want and not gain weight!" or "I could never be that skinny!" and I luv this one too "I don’t eat all day long and all I eat is dinner!"(and can’t understand why they are gaining bodyfat.)They cannot even begin to understand the concept of clean eating or moderation for that matter.The dedication to the hours of weight training and cardio….blood sweat and tears!It’s work man.Hard work.For some it’s more emotional work…just to aquire the ability and strength to say no to treats, chips and pizza and that’s it’s okay.The mind/body connection is very real and very powerful.But so worth it.The natural endorphin rush you experience from exercising is such a wonderful feeling.The energy you gain, the confidence, and an overall feeling of good health.It’s practical not fanatical!!And much like anything else worth having in this world….working really hard for!!And once they can get over their hangups, they can realize that they are not depriving themselves…they are actually rewarding themselves with good health…mentally and physically.

8 weeks and 3 days!!

As you can see I am a little over 8 weeks out right now. My workouts are going strong and I have been staying uber clean on my nutrition. Yeay!!!! And I am feeling really awesome. I am still trying to make a definitive decision as to which categories I will be competing in. The show is the FAME, WNSO in Las Vegas on May 31st! I was planning on competing in their Bikini Model, Fitness Model and Figure categories. Yet as I read the requirements for their figure…I am not sure I will be competing in it. They have the figure competitors perform a lot of ‘bodybuilding’ type poses(double biceps, ab poses, etc)…so needless to say, I am on the fence about it. Not necessarily because of the poses, but because physique wise, their rules read like they will be looking for more of a bodybuilder type.And the pictures of past girls look more on the bodybuilder side-more cut and more striated.Did I spell that right?LOL!So I will keep you posted on what I decide.Either way it’s all good.I am just so happy that I am ‘feeling’ so good right now. I am a big believer that your mind and spirit really has to be connected with your body when an athlete is training for an event.At least that is when I am at my best.Let’s just hope that I can meet my bodyfat and weight goals on time.I definately should have started a bit earlier.But I think I’ll be okay.I am feeling that way right now.I know, I know…I still need to post pictures.I am not talented at taking my own pics..like so many of you.I need my hubby or someone else to do it for me.So when I get the chance, I’ll get too it.But for now my training,nutrition,running my household and your basic wonder woman stuff has been keeping me more than busy!!:)Until next time gangstas…..
