mikelb's Stats for Sleep as a motivator…

Sleep as a motivator…

Although I have begun working out (it’s a process), I still need to be more motivated…

I think that most of my problem is that I need better (not necessarily more) sleep.
And part of that problem is that I have a condition known as sleep apnea.  That means that my throat closes in the middle of the night, causing me not to be able to breath… which wakes me up several times per hour (though I’m not conscious of it), which means that my rest really isn’t.  Fortunately they have masks you can wear to aid in alleviating this condition… and I try to wear mine…. but many times i find in the morning that I’ve removed it.  (Arg!)

However… I have this theory…
Since I am such a skinny guy who already has his tonsils and adenoids out, doctors scratch their heads as to why I have this condition in the first place.  What I am thinking is this:  I am out of shape.  My body is worn down from inactivity (must be all that programming).  I’ll bet, because of my situation, that if I can get in shape, my condition will disappear.  I’ll just bet.

So… I will use sleep (or rather the desire for good sleep) as a motivator.  I will just keep thinking… if I get in shape, I will feel better AND I will get good sleep.

How’s that sound?
