Legs and Such
Alright, so yesterday went fine. Two workouts same day. Quads in the morning, Hams in the evening. Well, I should say "posterior chain" but I’ll get to that in a minute. At any rate, I was quite the crybaby starting off with squats first thing in the morning. It was fun, but I’ve decided that since I’ve taken all of this time off, I’m going to perfect my form on most exercises which is what’s been done.
Second round, he he, hams. Well, "posterior chain". The workout should have included a number of leg curls such as lying and single leg curls. Well, if we had a standing or seated leg curl machine at our gym, we may have tried those but lying leg curls just suck for the reason that although they do work the hams, they just work the hams. Not only do you look stupid doing them but you’re really not doing anything for power generation. We’re athletes damn it.
So those things were replaced with reverse hypers and single leg reverse hypers. My gym may not have fancy schmancy leg curl machines, but we do have a reverse hyper machine. There’s only been one other gym in the city I’ve seen with one of those (lol, the state actually) and that gym is closed thanks to NCAA title IX certification for women’s volleyball or something. If you don’t know what this is, here’s a link.

So well, yeah, this exercise is great even though it is a glute exercise. I love it more than leg curls. He he he, so well, we did those and well, stiff leg deadlifts. I feel great … we both feel great. Its been a wonderful week. Too bad we missed today because well, we both had the crazy idea to stay up late doing work trying to get some cash and such. Oh well, bed time. Later … Tomorrow, back day. Saturday … shoulders.

I love reverse hypers but my gym doesn’t have the equipment. The last time I even saw one of those was a old powerlifting gym when I was in college.
