Just completed 7 weeks of cutting and have dropped 8% bodyfat in that time. In order to measure bodyfat % was taken by two measures first calipers and second an electronic device, by a personal trainer. She advised me on nutrition and made sure I wasn’t losing muscle. I seen her once a week for 3 weeks then every other week.

An important aspect was having a goal and not letting that goal out of sight.
I revamped the way I trained to get the maximum amount of stimuli to reduce fat, as can be seen in my training section.
I ate pretty clean, every 2-3hrs, making sure I had enough protein and antioxidants from the food I ate. Sample of my daily diet during week 3:
6.00am Protein shake
7.00am 1/2cup dry measure porridge oats, with water.
10.00 Apple + BCAA
12.00 100gm Grilled Chicken + 75gm Brown rice
2.45 pm Grilled Chicken
5.00 Protein shake
5.20pm Train for 1hr
6.25pm Protein shake + Apple
8.00pm Grilled Chicken+ Broccli
10.20pm Protein shake

I also took Nutrex Lipo 6, Udos Oils, Multi Vitamin and minerals, HMB.

Overall I was loosing 1% a week, and I have now got a template for when I plan to possibly compete next year. I treated this as an experiment to see what I could do and to see what works so I know what to do when it comes to preparing for a competition.
