Should I be worried? I mean here I am after 5 months almost 6 months working out 5 days a week, eating great, taking protein and creatine. I seem bigger and without a doubt stronger but the same weight to the t except a 2 lb. drop yesterday which went away today…..back to 160..I talk to others at the gym and after 6 months they have gained weight or lost so what is the problem with me? I must be doing something wrong. Also this battle of the belly is starting to get to me, the last two weeks been doing cardio everymorning for 45 minutes and taking hydroxy cut and still no inch lost on the stomach…..I wander if I am just spinning my wheels…yet I love working out and know I cant give up…

Now that I got your attention please help me figure this out, if supplements are so important as some claim then why on earth are inmates in prison not only huge but most of the time ripped and strong. I asked this question on the forums and after 40 views no one wants to step up and answer, someone please help me out here. I thought about this because I was watching the show lock up on MSNBC and noticed how ripped these guys were and as I thought about it it is common in any prison. It seems to me that the key is consistency and diet and since prisons are ran by the state they have to by law have good diets, no creatine in a jar, no flax, not even whey powder and for sure not any hydroxy cut to cut up with.
So imho supplements are not needed, in fact a good diet and hitting the weights hard is all needed. They may get someone there faster but for sure not something you HAVE to have.
Also after digging some stuff up and talking to some people I also notice that people not only can get big in prison but very fast, now we can say yea because they work out every single day, well so do most of us, right? I would say they are like the guys in my gym who make sure they live by the big 3, Squat, Bench and Deads, King Compounds rather than machines, I am not debunking machines but for size compounds, free weights are KING, I have been told this over and over and now I finally get it.
If anyone reads this that a) has been in prison, b) knows someone in prison who is getting built there, c) works at a prison, please reply or send me a message with your opinion on this.

Words I should of lived by today for sure. I went to gym started on my routine and some other guy was next to me and you know how it is once in awhile 2 dudes get around each other and the egos start overpowering everything else. He kept looking at me doing his thing raising and raising the amount of dumbells doing arnolds and inclined presses, so happens this is what I was working on today. Anyhow I had to be a "bad ass" so I kept upping my amount of weights too and then went off with 2 65 lbers (my highest w/dumbells for arnolds is 50, 55 if I am having a great day) I proceeded to start, got to my second one and BAM …! I both felt and heard a pop right under my neck at the edge of my shoulder blade, dropped the weight and was and still am useless for atleast the rest of the day, workout wasted as I was only into my daily program for about 10 minutes.
Now this is something I did before when I first started 5 months ago and many noobs do, they come in first day and think they can rule the gym and usually get hurt quick.
So here I am with a glob of muscle cream on my back and now maybe not able to work out rest of the week, it is so bad that I cant even turn my neck either way without pain, not whining because I will get by but my point is by just being stupid and worrying about how bad ass I am I hurt myself and it could of been worst, imagine if it was at the bench without a spotter and I felt so confident to up my weight by say 100 lbs….bad situation that would of been for sure.
So the lesson is Worry about yourself and no one else in the gym because there will always be someone stronger and someone weaker, who really gives a crap, have fun, get fit, get ripped, get big but try by all means to avoid to get hurt.

They say pimping aint easy well today I am thinking neither is lifting, well atleast some days anyhow. Today being one of those I just found myself in the gym unable to get into the mode I usual get into, lack of will, lack of strength, nothing. I tried to push myself but here and there I get a day like this where I am just "burnt" so usually I take that day to do some serious carbage and then I am usually ready for the next day. I think I am going to make this a once a week thing or like once every 10 days just take a day or two off and relax, I have heard many people do this and even some take a week or so off. Back to my carb fiesta!!

As I walk into my gym, swipe my Id Card and turn on my I-pod it is like I transform into someone else, I feel every part of my Body preparing for the damage it will soon be enduring. I get a sense of euphoria and off I go for my 30-40 minutes of sweat pain, and constant glancing at myself in the mirror, you know exactly what I mean since everyone does it and I dont mean while doing a set, lol. Besides having a sort of zen experience where everything falls away and there is only me and the weights I can feel every part of myself feeling more alive, more strong and more as a unit with my mind, a true mind body experience.I use to stay in the gym for hours and hours until I learned that in fact I was going against what I was trying to do. Anyhoo I know I am addicted because I crave for it now, it is all I think about it, dream about and when I am on an off day I feel lost and sad. Well I guess I could be addicted to worst I guess, well I am rambling now..till next time…KEEP PUMPING!

Tried a new exercise tonight for my forearms. I grabbed 2-45 lb. plates and held one in each hand with a grip where my thumb was on one side fingers on the other (like carry a suit case sorta), plates being vertical, and I squeezed as hard (constant pinch) till failure 3 sets, then I held the plates but with a slighter pinch walked about 20 steps forward then turned around and came back, put weights down, 30 second rest and went agin for a total of 3 times.
My forearms are feeling a bit sore already and look like popeyes, I just may keep this in my routine, it beats the standard forearm rolls.
