Happy Tuesday!

Hello. I am almost acclimated to the time change. The weather is gorgeous and hot.

I am down about 3 lbs. Going to the gym this afternoon to get my cardio and lift hamstrings and butt. If Im feeling energetic I will do some back, too.

 Diet is going well….but a bit too much fruit. Keeps me away from the junk. Grapefruit and teah have been my very close friends.

Good Saturday

I didnt end up taking my turbo kickboxing and lift classes. I went with spin class in stead…felt really good. Wore my HR monitor and it stayed at about 170 (give or take) the entire hour. Then I lifted some shoulders and abs.
Eating went well… lowfat muffin (questionable at best, I know…but it was right before the spin class and I didnt want to fall of of my bike! Ha!)…Coffee, of course. Then my thermo drink before working out. Went with a ABB Speedshot. Not bad…250 mg of caffeine and tasty. I didnt feel fidgety…just energy and a little more sweat that usual…Im not much of a sweater on my own.

After my workout I had some strawberries and coffee. Hung around the house for a bit then went out for lunch. Tuna salad on a bed of greens and agua. Then to get my nails done. :) I felt like something different so I got oval shape and painted red. I have been pink and white with a square shape forever…this feels very girly. I like it. Then walked to the mall across the street while the nails dried. Hit the grocery store and stocked up on the healthy stuff Im trying to eat more of. Had my trail mix and soy slender on the way home. Then the other half of my tuna salad from lunch (it was big and Im trying to eat small). I having some hot tea now and Ill probably swig a protein shake before bed.

Tomorrow I will probably go skating and take in the sunshine. I live in Southern California and its pretty gorgeous out lately. I hate to waste my tanning salon visits when I dont have to. :P

It was a good couple of days. I kept the diet light, added in a bit more protein through the day. I found this soy milk "soy slender". Its yummy, 70 cals., 1 carb and 7 gr. of protein a serving and sweetened with splenda. I just sip it throughout the day and it seems to keep me from junk snacking.  I’m trying to keep my personality from going to crap while I diet. It seems that when I feel deprived it makes me bitchy.  My weight has not moved…but it will soon. Cardio is going really well. I took a salsa and step class at the gym yesterday. Its funny when you first start something…feels so awkward. But fun. Then an ab class since I was already there. Today I did 35 minutes on the precor trainer. Tomorrow is a lifting class and then Turbo Kickbox. Im excited, I really love the teacher.

This weekend

Hello :)

It was a gorgeous weekend. I started my workout week today with a hike. Just got outside for about an hour. Tomorrow I lift and do cardio. I was a little carby this weekend…but kept the fat light and got protein in on a regular basis. Trying to maintain the frequent and small meals. Hope everyone is doing well.

Todays workout

I had my birthday earlier this week…so Im just lifting for the first time tonight. Got Cardio in yesterday. Stair stepper felt good…but left my knees wiggly for the evening.

Today I made up for the last two days with a ham/butt and bi/tri workout.

Lifted for 45 minutes total. Cardio for 20 minutes afterward. 1 hour 5 minutes with heartrate averaging 146 over the workout.

Barbell Curls 3 sets of 12 - 35lb bar

Cable Tri Extensions 3 sets of 12 - 40lbs

Seated Leg Press 3 sets of 15, 4 45lb plates
Laying Ham Curls 3 sets of 15, 40lbs
Alternating DB Curls 3 sets of 12, 15lb dbs
Overhead Cable Tricep extensions 3 sets of 12, 30lb for two sets then 40lbs
Wideleg smith squats 3 sets of 15…50lbs, then no weight, then 20lbs (couldnt get comfy)
Deadlifts 3 sets of 15, 35lb Bar

Used the recumbent bike for 20 minutes of cardio…
