No More Excuses :)

Saturday, May 31st, 2008

Well school is officialy over, yippee. I had my graduation from nursing school yesterday and am so happy for everything to be over with. There is such a sense of relief that has totally come over me and I feel at ease right now. I still have to get prepared and start studying for the NCLEX but that will take place starting tomorrow. Today is all about relaxing and enjoying my day with no worries. Tomorrow I will also be kicking it in gear with my diet and workouts because will I still continue to be up and down with everything. Although I have not lost a lot of my progress, I have not made much progress either. It will be all good from here though. No more excuses. It is all about training, passing that NCLEX, and getting ready to start my new job at the end of July. I am unsure if I am going to do the Falmouth Road Race at this point, I would rather focus on my figure comp and look at doing more sprints and hill training, but will see about doing both. I also will start blogging more again, then again I think I’ve said that before, lol. But like I said No MORE EXCUSES.

On the Right Track

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

Well, things are on the right track right now. I haven’t been posting or updating as much as I should be because of being on/off with things, but this last week has been good and will continue to be that way :) .

All my clinicals and regular lectures are now finished. Less than one week and will finish with my finals. Two & 1/2 weeks and my graduation date will be here :) . I have to really work the cardio in the next couple of weeks if I want to fit into something cute though. I’m not looking to drop crazy weight but maybe another dress size by then. Still waiting to hear back about the interviews that I went to so it’s a little bit difficult in that department, but I’m getting over it. I have decided that if I don’t get any of those jobs, I will take the NCLEX and go nuts looking for a job after that. Something will eventually come up. I just have to make sure that I renew my CNA cert. so I can keep working at the hospital and pick extra time there.

Speaking of which, I have been working quite a bit, but its a necessity right now but don’t feel like I’m overdoing it though. Added another night, which will make it 6 of 8 nights tonight and will get me in a much better state financially between school, bills, car breaking down, and not being able to work as much as I should have with my commute & school. I will catch up with things in the end though and things will get back on track. Hearing "you have the Job" would make things much easier in the financial and "sanity" department but, have other things I need to stress over right now, lol. Like those finals and that NCLEX, lol.

Training & diet are going much better now. Trainer started me on a new program for the next four weeks and have been making it to the gym after work on a more consistent basis. Have also been better with my diet which was also switched up, so I’m happy.

Long a** blog and yes, sorry boring, but just updating:)

New Competition Date

Friday, May 9th, 2008

New Competition Date for me. Will put this in before my coach/trainer changes his mind, lol. My new first comp date will be on Sept 27, 2008 at the OCB Maine event. This comp will be kind of like my "prep" comp for the Oct 11, 2008 comp date. I really want to do well in both, but you can get your Pro card for the one in October. My focus will be more on doing well though. After October I will go into bulking & adding on muscle phase and come out with avengence next year where I really do hope to possibly get that pro card in the OCB Spirit of America event. We’ll see what happens. Just gotta do the day to day stuff right now. Dreams are fantastic, but you also have to do the steps that lead to them also for you to achieve them.

Competition Season In the Air

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Between the couple of websites that I view, it seems like competition season is definitely in the air. People have either just competed, will be competing this weekend, or are weeks away from competing. Luckily my competition that I plan to be in is not until October, but all this excitement with people getting ready has me pumped up. It also lets you know how important the diet & training is within this whole lifestyle. As weeks go by and my competition comes closer, a whole different ballgame is going to come into play within my life and I look forward to the challenge. Luckily, I think I will get to enjoy some of the summer without having extreme dieting or training but realize towards the end of it, I will have a lot to encounter. I however am looking forward to the upcoming changes that will happen to my body and look forward to being able to wear things that I haven’t worn in years. It’s been probably almost five + years since I’ve worn a pair of shorts. Capri’s yes, but no shorts. It will be exciting to fit into dresses that still have size 5 tags on them but cannot wait to fit onto me. I look forward to eventually seeing some development and muscles in these arms, my back, quads, etc. Can’t wait for the fat to come off my waist, back of leg. Firming up those glutes and getting that round curvature is what I obsess about at times. I’m going off on a tangent now but getting excited about the process to come. I don’t look forward to the stress and some of the dieting to come, but now it’s all part of the process and something you have to do in order to achieve my goals. Damn, I love this. Competition Season in the Air.

That said. Started my Blog for my countdown to my first competition which will be on October 11, 2008. Will use that to blog most of the time on how I am doing with my training & diet. Will also post my weekly or biweekly pics on there as well. There is a link under my profile info to see my blog. I am 22+wks out right now. Exciting, exciting, exciting.

Getting Back On Track

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

Well I’ve been way off track the couple of weeks. Definitely seem to be still on and off again. So again getting back on track again. On a positive note, my clinical is now done, so no more clinical days which will help tremendously. This is the last weekend trying to get the majority of schoolwork done that I have kind of procrastinated on. Nothing stressful though, just making sure everything else is completed and that everything is ready to be turned in. I still have one more project to due but it is no big deal and is a group project for the 12th of May. So this weekend will mostly just be catching up on classwork and so forth. Did my cooking yesterday for the next four days, so I am all set there, which is a big relief. Cleaned my apartment today and am going through clothes & trying to clear things out that I won’t wear anymore and so forth. Definitely some motivation there :) …Going through lots of summer shirts that I have not worn in FOREVER, or NOT AT ALL, lol. Gets me pumped to get my act together so I can get into those bad boys. Funny, I was concerned about not wearing some things, but am flipping through and about 98% are keepers. Now to get my a** into gear and fit into them. Hopefully most of the jeans I will still be able to wear when i get down to that size, because the style of jeans has changed and my shape has also. Shirts and dresses I am not as concerned about. Makes it easier cost wise that most of them I would still wear there.

So now that the busiest & most dreaded part of school is over. I need to get my rear into gear and stop the talk and walk the walk.   :)
