Clearing the fog :)

So my last post was a lot on my mind. Well I’m starting to clear the fog from my head a little (lol). I officially hired a coach who is putting together my training & diet program. My goal is to compete in the October OCB Cape Cod Natural figure comp. I went to see a seminar he had on nutrition & training (for contest & in general) & I really enjoyed him. He is very knowledgeable & likes to learn in general. Knows his sh**, which is what I was looking for. So now just waiting for the e-mail (lol). I’ve been a bit bad we shall say and on/off for the last week. Yesterday was my b-day, not an April Fools joke but an April fool’s baby (lol) and had a ton of cheats the day before, the morning, the evening. Gotta clear those out :) . I can’t wait to start the program because when you have someone that you have to report to whether you’ve been naughty or nice, well it makes a difference ;)   …So I am really excited for all of this to start. Not to excited to fit school in, but keep reminding myself that it’s almost over. Plus my clinical preceptor (a bit anxiety driven, helps me keep my sanity though, funny how that works. I think some anxious people don’t realize really how anxious they are and how it effects those around them, lol), but he is mad cool & pushes me off to take a break, which luckily gets my protein shake & fruit in there when I need it :) . I’ve got 4-5 more weeks of that :) & lots of other things (a paper, presentation, etc), but then it’s done. Although graduation isn’t until May 30. Once the first week of May is over, the only thing I really have left is Finals, which will work great into my training. I’ll have to work more but I’ll stick with nights & work my training around that since I won’t probably start a new grad program until either June or mid/late July.

I have decided that I reeeaaalllyyy want a job where I currently work. I might not be able to get one on the floor that I work on but I want to stay at the hospital that I am at. The human resource person that interviews the new grad prospects is the same person that interviewed me when I was hired as a CNA. I am totally killing it with her & sucking up (lol). She called me back today about recieving my application & the new grad program but I can never get a hold of her, will go in & hunt her down if I have too:)  I am hoping to get on a med-surg floor but will take surgical or ICU. Would have to study my a** off to go into ICU though. The med-surg telemetry floor is where I orginially wanted to go and although they have their issues (all places do), I have worked up there before & get along with most of the staff really well, so it’s all good. Now to wait for the interviews from human resource & the floors and hopefully I’m in the door (foot is already in there :) )).

It sounds as if you’ll be happier if you can stay at the same facility. Good luck.

    Is it an HCA hospital?

Sounds like things are really lining up for you. Graduation time for me was quite hectic, and I already had a job. Hope all goes well and good luck with the new trainer.
