Saturday, February 16th, 2008

Day 3 of P90. Weights and did 20 minutes interval on the treadmill. Sweating bullets right now. Feels great. Back down under 175. One accomplishment done. Now need to start working back towards 170 and then just keep on a truckin to my eventual goal weight of 130. Gonna take the dog out for a walk to cool down and relax and of course have my beloved protein shake.

Posted my before pics today for Feb 13th. Embarressing to look at, but sometimes you don’t truly realize how much weight you have to lose or how out of shape that you have gotten until you see some pictures of yourself, especially in a bathing suit. Very difficult for me to look at because I used to be in good shape and be able to basically wear whatever I wanted. So, now it is time to put in the work and energy or just put my words where the sun don’t shine. Did pretty well today. Did 40 minutes of Turbo Jam and am continuing with multiple dog walks. Hey at least if anything else doesn’t come of this, my DOG IS LOVING ME. He doesn’t really get to get out much because of the weather and mostly because of me in school and working full time. So, he is definately loving the walks right now. Diet is going well and I feel very energized. Only the second day, but it is going well.

Well, started back on Power 90 today. Had a pretty good workout and then did twenty minutes interval on the treadmill. Watched what I ate toda with higher amounts of protein and lower carbs. Found a couple of protein shakes that I really like and mix well/easily that I can bring with me to classes with just small shaker. Took dog on multiple walks today to try and keep busy in between studying. Overall a great start. I feel very energized today, hopefully it well stay that way. Only working a couple of days over the next week and a half, and no clinical or school due to a Monday holiday (all my lectures are on Monday and clinical preceptor is on vacation (yeeah), so I can focus on working out and my diet to get me started for when school and clinicals come back full blast.

Well, its been a long time since I have posted. My weight has still continued on a rollercoaster ride in the upward direction. I did my weigh-in today at 181.3, basically my heighest weight. Me and some fellow co-workers are doing a biggest loser challenge for 8 weeks. The winner gets the pot of money ($50 dollars each participant). And well, I plan on taking home the bank. Hopefully this will be the motivation that I need. One of my co-workers that I work alot with is also participating in the challenge. Back to my last year/semester of school (Yeaaaah). Start back to clinicals in a week, but I think that this is going to be a great and challenging semester so I am looking forward to it.

Any great ideas/motivation for the next 8 weeks would be greatly appreciated. I’ll try to post before and after pics after the challenge is over. :)
